lots of dogs at the park today! Finally the water to cool off and splash. Kelly has her slingshot out for Biscuts for swimmers..this is how she encouraged her coonhound mix to swim out further..Victor and Mary realllllly like this game!

AFter that i ran out of film..i wish i had a zoom..wish we had seen Zoom and Sawyer there! This will be our last trip until it frosts. Thanks for sharing with me...was a glorious morning to be a dog!

Ill have to try tossing treats out and then the slingshot to get BD to get out and swim instead of wading.

i am afraid it ruined Mary for retrieving at least as long as Kelly is around..Mary's diet is so hard on her that she is always wanting food. The dogs seem to enjoy finding the biscuits and i am so suprised at how they can scent them even floating on the water. The fish have figured it out as well and sometimes beat the dogs to the treat.Victor still loves retrieving the ball so it has done him no harm..he does like this game...and looks forward to it as soon as Kelly arrives.

Victor has such expressive eyes. He just looks so intuitive. Of course, that could be because he is a Pointer.

the park is in Shawnee Kansas..i live in Missouri but only a hop and skip across the border. it takes us about 30 minutes to drive to the park. Dawn is the best time to get there for it is still cool enuff to romp hard. We were lucky today that there were so many dogs to play with. THe park is just wonderful!

Aaaugh! I missed you guys?! Stupid work...I had to be in early and didn't have time to take the kids out. Sawyer would have loved it, he's been cooped up inside for the past few days because I can't take him to work with me until after the Labor Day rush is done.

That is one awesome sunrise...

You have to meet Aubrey, she plays just as hard as the big boys and boy oh boy does she love the water!

Vic looks like he was having a blast. I wish we had a dog park close by. I dont even know if we have any around within an hours drive. Ok, I've never been to a dog park, so are they fenced in? I'm assuming they are. I know Princess would think she was in heaven if she was able to go play with other dogs. Not sure if Gracie would like it.
