Does she look like a little fox to you?

Anyways, Rose is starting to fit right in I believe.

What do you think? ;)

I think you're right. :)

Do their fringes get really tangled when it's this windy?
Not really, but they do when the play and bite each other. Beau has so little fringe now because it's been chewed on by other dogs. >.<

Gorgeous pictures! :D

That looks like a LOT of grooming! You've definately got your hands full, but I'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way ;)

So you spend half your week grooming? :p

They're adorable! I like paps, the Sister Bertril of dogs. They're small but not annoying. Shelties are sweet too. You've got a high-energy pack!

Haha, I think you guys would be surprised at the amount of grooming we do with our dogs... it's not really that much. The shelties take regular brushings/rakings or they get mats. The paps just get their hair brushed and their ears combed a few times a week. about every month or twice a month we trim feet and there ya go. ;)

Of course that may seem like a lot of grooming to some people, but I've had long haired dogs all my life. Wouldn't have it any other way!

Laurelin, I am officially angry with you. The beautiful pictures of your dogs have been driving me crazy the last few days, with wanting to draw them; when I haven't felt like drawing at all. I finally broke down and started drawing your last pic of Rose.. :D

On a more serious note.. it's coming along quite nicely, although a lot bigger than the pic. I'm shocked that it a) looks like a dog and b) looks like a Papillion (whether or not it really captures Rose or not.. will have to be determines when I am done). I finished with the first color I was using (a deep lake red to fill in the black: the picture is going to be in red hues only) and took it to the computer to scan it, but alas the scanner is not working. Again. And I have no decent batteries for my camera.. so there's no way I can even show you it, LOL! hen it's finished and I figure out why my dumb scanner never realizes it's connected to the computer, I'll PM you with pics. Your dogs are too lovely to not admire, and I really hate that I can't control my random urges to draw things :lol-sign:

Awww, that's neat! I'd be painting Rose as well if I didn't have exams this week. (yuck!)

You'll have to show me, I'm sure it looks great!

The shocking thing is.. it actually does look great. :yikes: I can draw amazing cats, and just about any object.. plants as well.. But dogs elude me. I'm not entirely happy with her closed eyes, but everything else is thrilling me.. especially the ears and nose! It's shocking, because she really looks like a Papillion! Maybe I need to draw more long-haired breeds.. It could be the hair that makes them easier.

Now I really want to see it lol! Paps are pretty fun to draw, I admit.

And I cannot draw cats to save my life lol. Dogs are much easier for me.
