Anybody ever dealt with them? Hows their turn around? Customer service?

Did you like your tag? How has it held up? Did you get it just for a saying, much like a Fetching Tag, or did you get it with home numbers as well?

I ordered mine a little less than two weeks ago maybe and I'm still waiting but that's what their etsy site said. I asked for a lightning bolt and I just saw that they just now got a lightning bolt stamp the other day so maybe that's why they've been holding off.

I've never had either a MDM tag or a fetching tag for my own dogs but I did get a Fetching Tag for our old clinic dog and it stained his white fur grey.

Edited to add,
It's a Harry potter themed tag so the front says I Solemnly Swear I am up to No Good and on the back it says Accio Humans! With my phone number. It will match his Mischief Managed embroidered collar I've ordered.

ETA: changed my mind... not professional. If their facebook page still exists you can look back at last year and research on your own...

My Fetching Tags all have names and phone numbers on the back and so does this one. I never took a photo and posted it because I was upset about the whole ordeal and it took a long time for me to look at the tag and not be upset about it. That said, I do like it. It's thinner than Fetching Tags which some people like. They are made on pre-cut blanks rather than how Fetching Tags makes their own blanks. Payton wears both and he often wears them into the lake and they are both fine.

I can't say I'm impressed either.

I've ordered twice, first took approximately three months for me to get... second took about 6 weeks. While I like my stuff, I think it's slightly overpriced to begin with, combine that with the horrible customer service....

Yeah.

As another alternative to fetching tags if you decide to go elsewhere, I ordered from here: https://www.facebook.com/DivaDogCharms

Their stuff seems nice and is half the price of a fetching tag. ;)I got a saying, and phone number on the back. Seems like satisfied customers on the fb page.

The other shop that I contemplated ordering from was called critterbling on etsy. They have a cute kids writing font and answered all my questions right away.

Hmm.. looks like I will be looking elsewhere, then. Looking into the Diva Dog Charms now.

Thanks all! Bummer they aren't that great, I like a lot of the new symbols they just got in. :(

I have ordered two MDM tags. I'm very pleased with both of them. The first tag I ordered back in Feb. I ordered it on a Friday night and received it on Tuesday. I ordered my second tag in June. Their etsy site said 15 days and that's exactly how long it took.

I also have a Fetching Tag. There are pros and cons to both. I have A LOT of writing on my MDM tags and FTs will only allow you so many words. That said, what I like more about FTs is that my tag is over a year and a half old and it looks brand new. My MDM tag made in Feb has obvious wear on the edges.

I received a Diva Dog Charms tag a couple weeks ago now and it's amazing! She fit a lot of writing on the back of my tag. Possibly my new favorite tag maker! And so much cheaper than either Mad Dog Metalworks and Fetching Tags!

I like my MDM tags. They're very cost effective for me, having a dog that loves to damage and lose tags, and they hold up extremely well to his abuse. I also love that she special ordered a stamp for the idea I had for Corvus' tags. The wait is...well, not so bad anymore because I expect it. That's my only negative comment about MDM..and it's not a deal breaker because I know when I get the tags I'm going to be satisfied and they are going to last.

MDM has changed a bit from what I have seen, so if I had the spare money, I'd be willing to give them a shot, I really like their work.

I have a fetching tags tag, just a plain one I won, and I like it alot. Feels nice in my hands. Haven't started using it yet, I'll keep it for the new year.

Currently we have a Diva Dog Charms tag and I LOVE it, really like the girl who makes them. She's a doll. They're not the best for dogs who chew on tags or have their tags chewed on, though. Simi has put a lot of scratches and dings in hers, just in the two days I left it on her 100% of the time. It's now on a tag collar with her city tag. But I was also offered a new tag at a discounted price because Simi chewed her old one! So AWESOME customer service! :)

I have a lot of friends who have the MDM tags, which they are happy with, but I'll admit that I bought mine mostly as a fluke. I had already "liked" their FB page, so I came home from work one AM, and she had just posted, asking if anyone would like to buy a tag with a skull & crossbones already stamped on it, at a reduced price. I have a dog named Pirate. It seemed like serendipity.

The skull she had stamped on already took up a fair bit of space, so that side just has his name. (the reason she was looking for another home for this tag was that she'd stamped the skull on without leaving room for the writing she needed). The other side says "if you can read this, I've lost me ship", with my phone number, and another, smaller skull stamp. I came up with the phrase, and let her figure out how to fit it all in nice, the 2nd skull stamp was her idea. If I'd wanted more contact information, it might not have fit well, but I only wanted my phone number on it anyway.

I'm very happy with it. It did take awhile to get because there was a little breakdown in communication, since we were emailing back and forth about it, and she had told me she was on the road to regionals, she lost track of the email, and I was too polite to nag. Once she got back to it, a couple weeks later, and we finalized the plans for it, I had it within a few days. Since it was a special case, I consider that kind of understandable. I also didn't pay for it until I'd received it (that's when she billed me), and wasn't in a particular hurry for it anyway, so waiting a few weeks wasn't that big of a deal to me.

I've only had it a couple months, so can't really say anything about durability. The price was fine, obviously, since I got a discount, but I think their tags are cheaper than Fetching Tags anyway. For awhile, everyone seemed to get Fetching tags, and many people still do, but I just find them too spendy.

Aesop has a tag from that seller. It's a very cute tag and I had no issue with either their customer service or their product. I did not realize when ordering that it was so TINY though (smaller than a penny..) so he wears his FT instead. But that's really my mistake, not a statement on their product :)

Oh wow! That's crazy. Did they not list dimensions or something? Or did you just not make the connection?

For some reason the complaints abound on professionalism and transparency. I would research carefully.

I know FT is costly but she's just a good person with a great company, I would look there.

I don't remember as it's been several years. I want to say that it said it was an inch or so,but I think it's smaller. Or perhaps it just looks really tiny on my large Chow :) He did wear the tag, but it was so small that it just got hidden, so I got him a larger tag :)

I do like her work, particularly some of the collar tags (the bird and the rocketship ones are adorable :) ) If I didn't have such hairy dogs, I'd try one:)

I bought one from her a few years ago that I just recently replaced with a Fetching Tag. I feel like it held up relatively well over the past 3 years, given that Juno puts quite a bit of wear and tear on things.... but, it was just starting to look a little too faded for my liking.

(If it's not apparent enough, the last 7 digits I blurred out haha).

It had a charm on it but the metal on that recently wore out enough that it fell off. It IS a little small, the size of the tag itself isn't something I care about, but the stamping might not be the easiest to read for a lot of folks.

I do really like my Fetching Tag. Much lighter than I imagined it to be, the stamping is nice and deep and very legible. The price is what always deterred me but I figured, if this lasts the rest of her life and I never need to buy another tag, then it's worth it. (Plus really I just wanted to pick a tagline).
