How far would you be willing to travel or would you be willing to adopt a dog if there was a transport chain involved?

Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier: Capone: Petfinder

I know it's far, but it would be lovely to take a dog out of Ontario so they wouldn't have to spend their life wearing a muzzle. (I was looking for a dog that was born since the ban was put in place and HAS to be placed out of province, but they're all female!)

Renzo is a hunk!!!!

And so is this guy:

One word. Truman. If you don't get him, I will. He's fscking adorabull.

If at possible I'd like to get something closer but, really when the right dog comes along I don't think distance will be an issue. Of course, i say that now... I'd love to get a dog out of BSL land.

I don't mind if the dog is another color. In fact, many of the dogs that are the same color as Paco just look like weird versions of him, something I'm not sure I'd like to look at every day. While I will admit that I like dark dogs a lot, I'm being more critical of them and more drawn to other coats right now. I particularly like red nose dogs but the bf likes the fawn. And we both like blue but the blues tend to come in a larger package and we really want a "small" dog under 50 lbs (aka. what the pit bull should be).

So many choices but none are "the one"... I figure I'll know the minute I see him. I also have a gut feeling that, knowing my luck, he'll show up the minute I stop looking for him, LOL!

Now, I'm not normally into white dogs but have been drooling over this guy ever since I spotted him:

There's just something about him...

His description is here (under "Casper"): Fresno Bully Rescue - ADOPTABLE MALESNEED FOREVER FAMILIES, FOSTERS OR SPONSORSAll of our bullies have been either rescued from shelters, the SPCA, the streets, or surrendered by families affected by foreclosure or other personal crisis. If you fa

He sounds good but kind of large. I think we'll be making a road trip this weekend to check him out in person. Unless, of course, we get word he's a cat killer...

How did it go with meeting him in person?
Not so great: anapoeland: Blind Date

The whole visit depressed me, actually. The rescue was borderline hoarding and not doing the dogs any favors.

I'm still on the hunt. There have been a few dogs I really go for but then they end up being too far away or gigantic. It's just a matter of time...
