I've gooot piiiiictures!!!

I didn't think I'd have competition today in my Jrs class, but I ended up having one other person to compete against. So, not only did I win my Novice Senior jrs class with competition(giving me 7 points right there), I also got BJH for 25 more points! And to add to that, I beat both Open jrs! I am only in Novice, yet I beat the Open Senior and the Open Junior, both who I had overheard earlier that day bragging about all their BJHs... I can't help to be a little extra proud because of that! Marq and I showed VERY well today. Well, except for his freestacking.. he still can't do that. But I'm still very much pleased!

As for breed, I had no competition and was dumped in Group. But no matter, Marq still LOVES group. He just FLIES .. he's such a great mover! :D

This show was definitely worth getting up at 3 45 for. :p

Excuse the poor quality of the pictures. My mom isn't a very good photographer and we need a new digital.

excellent time to for learning here.

Lizmo, take a loook at the first, third, and fifth pictures(the ones where the judge is examining Marq). Look at the angle from his shoulders to his legs and down to the floor. They are incorrect. They should be straight up and down, but I've set Marq's back feet just slightly too far back and when the judge went to examine him he leaned back causing what you see in the picture.

The last three pictures are all very good examples of nicely placed hard/hand stacks.

But Thankyou! *jumps around and (hugs) back*

Congratulations! It looks like you guys did an awesome job!

I'm so jealous! I would love to show...maybe someday, lol.

I'll probably be heading to Ohio for some shows later next year for obedience and agility (I finally found a travel buddy. Wahoo!) maybe we'll cross paths :p

Maybe!!! :D

I hope next year to make it to some NADAC trials in/around Columbus. I'm way up in the Northwest corner of Ohio and normally compete there, but I would like to go to a few other trials as well. .. so maybe!

BTW, there are people that even though you may not have your own dog to show, they'd mentor you and give you a dog to show. I have my own dog, but I've also just picked up a mentor at this show. I will meet her at shows, she will be able to answer any questions I might have, and if I ever needed a dog to show, she said she'd have one for me. So.. if you parents would approve of something like that, I'm sure you could find someone! :)

Thankyou everyone. :)

I guess I forgot to mention. I now have a mentor for a few months. She is a breeder of GSPs.. I'll give more details later..but right now I'm about falling asleep as I type.

Okay, so more details about this mentor!

www.kdtgermanshorthairs.com

I found her on the UKC message board. She was looking to mentor someone and I responded. Then, when we got to teh show, to my surprise, she was there! So I went over and introduced myself as the girl that had replied to her post. My mom spoke to her, and we worked it out and now I have a mentor. (If you look in the pictures in the group, she's actually the person behind me with the GSP.)

Basically we are going to meet her up at the shows that I can make it to(both UKC and AKC). I can show my own dog, and ask her any questions I might have. She can actually teach me stuff about structure(the only thing I even know how to do is handle and train, I know nothing of genetics, structure, etc). And, I'm not exactly sure, but I may get the chance to show one of her GSP. I do have my own dog, but in AKC I cannot show him in Conformation.. so.. maybe!!! :D
