I think it's a wonderful idea to let the other dogs lie with her for a while and say good bye. I think they know and it gives them closure....not that they just wonder where they are. I've never done it but I am going to in the future. Patricia McConnell talks about that in her book. I think it was her. And how she describes it is so very peaceful. She even had a sheep that one of her dogs loved. The sheep died and the dog lay with the sheep for a long time. Then got up, walked off and got on with life. I think it's a very good thing to do, albiet hard for you maybe. But maybe not. It might give you more peace as you say good bye. I'm so terribly sorry Saje and I know you've done everything you can do.

Yeah she's gone. I posted about it here http://www.chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?p=770540#post770540

She hasnt' been buried yet. Steve came to be with me at the clinic but had to go back to work so we'll do it tonight. There is a lot of construction coming to this area so I want to find a place that won't be dug up in a few years.

The vet also sent away one of her kidneys so we'll get more answers from that I hope.

Oh Saje,

I'm so sorry for your loss, its an unbelievably hard decision to make. You definately put Sakaris life before yours and helped her.

RIP Sakari
