all the kittens ive ever raised from too young (under 6 weeks) tend to become stranger agressive and dont have the same "inhibitions" as one raised with its littermates.

our current cat pippin i found at 4 weeks old, i weaned him myself and for the first few months he was fine, took him for his neuter he tried to eat the vet (32 stitches in his arm later and a gas box to knock the tiny 5 month olf kitten out to neuter him) he was growling and i have had to do shots myself since..
since that point he has bonded strongly with my sister and my mother and the cocker charlie but attacks visiously anyone else.

my friends found a little 2 week old kittne and hand reared it, they named it malar (for those familiar with forgotten relms...yeah..."mal" is a chaos demon in a grey coat, his lack of mother and siblings to leanr from hes the same way, hes bonded with his "mommy" but will attack anyone else...hes semi playfull about it wiht him its as if he never learnt how hard is to hard and when to stop.

The kitten probably didn't have any siblings or mother. I think it's perfectly normal to adopt out a kitten that yound if it has no family and is adopted out to someone with knowledge about how to proper care for a kitten that age.

We had a litter of 10, 3 week old kittens come into the HS a year ago. They were dropped off -left at the door and were found that morning when the worker arived. They were going to be PTS if not found homes for in one week because they were left like they were. NEVER leave any kind of animal on the door step of a Shelter or HS! They will be PTS most likely if not taken into the shelter the right way!! :(

Lizmo... I understand that young kittens are PTS is no home is found, I just wish the humane society was more careful and put these very young cats in experienced homes or possibly homes with older cats who could become "mom"... but I do understand their dilemma.. thanks for the insight.

Foxy... those were the kinds of problems I was thinking would occur... hopefully things will work out..

Thanks.

One kitten that I raised from 2 wks, had to go everywhere with me, he did require care 24/7. By the time, he was a few weeks old, the highlight of his week was to go to the bank with me. He walked along the counter visiting with all the tellers and if I left him in the car, the tellers were not happy and often requested that I go get him for the visit!! He ended up being extremely social to other cats and especially to strange people.
