He doesnt move a lot and it was raining few days ago and he had been playing outside. Do you guys think he'd caught cold? or worse than that? is there any home remedy for it..?? pls pls pls help.

How old is the dog? what is the dog like when awake? its possible if it is a pup it is just tired, and many very young pups constantly jump and shake in their sleep, if it is older, acting lethargic when awake etc then I would have a visit to vet just for a check up.

Ginger was like that too, her paw pads were extremely warm.. and she would just lay there sleeping curled up and shiver... and her nose was dry as dirt.. but when she woke up would be wet and lick it like crazy..

i took her to the vet.. to be safe than sorry.. i found out she didn't have a temperature well it was 101.5 (but the vet said its normal) ... and Ginger was just very nauseated..

Ginger also vomitted and had diarrhea she's had all her shots..

they first did a parvo test which was negative, then they did a fecal exam for two tests (giardia & coccydia(sp?)) .. both were negative.

So they just gave her some reglan, pepcid and gave me some flagyl to take home (antibiotic) for 8-10 days...

and if she still acts like that to see my regular vet (i went to an emergency vet) ... and after all that medicine, she was perkier!

i wish nothiing but the best for you and your pup, hope everything goes swell, keep us updated!

That's a relief to know he's had his vaccines. I think the vet is your best bet. Let us know what you find out.

Aspirin is okay for dogs, in the right dosage for their weight and if it's enteric coated so it won't irritate their stomach lining.

Let us know what you find out, please, we'll worry! ;)

I don't know what that is, but I guess she's checked with the vet to be sure it's okay for dogs? Acetominophen (Tylenol) and naproxin sodium (Alleve) are highly toxic to dogs, so it's always good to know ahead of time.

Glad he's feeling better!

bad news again.
Frodo stomach wont stop growling.
But he isnt hungry. My mom said its cuz he has cold and he's feeling nauseated. He wont even eat his favorite food (which is sausage). Wel his nose is wet and his still walks but his stomach just wont shut up
and then he hasnt eaten since this morning.

I have examination at thursday and got to study but i guess i have no choice but to bring him to the vet tomorrow.

Never put frodo outside when its raining.

ohhh ...i was planning to bring frodo to the vet this afternoon..but this morning he is jumping and running the house already. And the dinner i left him last night, he finished it. I gave him 1 fat sausage this morning and he finished it. His nose is wet again and everything. Do u think i still need to bring him to the vet..? what if when i get tehre the vet said there is nothing wrong with him.

I agree with mo. You should definitely call your vet and tell him this. The symptoms sound like just a cold. It could be worse but I don't wanna get you worried! How is he now though? Keep us posted please! :) Thanks!

That's what the vet told me to use too, Grammy, many years ago when Purdue was getting some arthritis in his neck. Now there is also enteric coated aspirin. The coating is designed to let it be dissolved and absorbed in the small intestines.
