That's so rude of them Babyblue. Although they have already force fed you meat since a lot of babies don't even like meat. Some parents disguise it to get them to eat it. I think that's weird.

My nephew likes meat. He's a great kid. He absolutely looooves to feed the dogs. My neice is only a few months old, so don't know whether she'll be a "meat eater" or not. I think that if someone wants to go veg, they should be allowed to. My sister and I were vegetarian for two years when we were younger.

Thats a step I couldnt take so more power to you.

I crave red meat after working out, especially on legs day and chest day.

Thats pretty screwwed up having parents force feeding meat if there are other options.

Thanks guys, I know it's screwed up of them, but that's how they are. They kept trying to tell me horror stories of how skinny I would get and that my bones are gonna become brittle and break real easily and that I can never be healthy being a vegetarian. I triied telling them that you can get the things you need from things other than meat, but they just don't care.
I just keep reminding myself that I only have one more year after this one and I will be abl to leave, Thank God! ;)

Yeah I know what you mean. BOTH my parents are overweight, not to the point of obesity, but still overweight. They go out for fast food a lot and I keep trying to tell them how fatty and bad that stuff is for them, but again, they don't listen. I have become so health conscous (sp?) over the past two years. I try to get them to buy more vegetables and fruits and have only had a small amount of success, but I guess it's some progress.
I mean there isn't anything "wrong" with people that are overweight, but it is unhealthy.

I'm at a good weight being a vegetarian.

Supersize Me was good!! My Mom (who is big on health) loved it. It was very interesting.

Im overweight, but Im changing my diet, how much I eat and exersising. Going veg is not something I can see doing for myself.

Something we all need to look into is the geneticly modified foods. I try to get my food from local suppliers as much as possible. Gm vegatables and grains worry me even more because those vegs and grains are fed to animals. Geneticly engeneered and geneticly modified foods are coming to a grocer near you, all of you.

And yes I am paranoid about meddling with genetic engeneering.

Last night I was a 2/3 vegetarian .....potato, salad and steak. I've always been very lucky. Can eat anything , if a gain 3 lbs. I feel it and can lose in 2 days. My "gutt" seems to tell me what I need and my tastes have changed over the years. I'm very lucky and do feel sorry for those who are obese and can't help themselves. From what I've seen, no one here has this problem. If you do, let us help and support you.!!!
