I've been looking through the posts and am excited to get involved. I've had dogs all my life (ie: a very long time
)... dogs of different breeds. Some were purchased from breeders and the rest came from adoption, like my current dog Tyler. He's a Belgian Shepherd that I discovered at the humane society where he was for about 3 weeks before I came along.
He was about 1 year old at the time, picked up as a stray. That was about 4 years ago and he's been great. I couldn't believe that such an intelligent, good natured dog would not have been reclaimed by his owner. But... if he repeatedly escaped, perhaps they gave up and just let him go.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and look forward to "mingling".
