Hello, Im new to this forum. Is there any other mushers out there? what the heck is a chazhound? lol.

Just wanted to say hello!

I got my hands full with 7 adult wolfdogs and 2 5mos old pups that need homes. Its not easy to sell them to proper homes. I use recycler.com to advertise. Any other ideas?

Anyway, have fun all.

Soon Alaska? What part you heading too?

Why not just find them good homes and not worry about the $$$?

And Welcome to Chaz.

Hi and welcome to Chaz.

Most breeders find homes for their pups long before they are read. Love4Pits is a breeder and musher and just had a litter. They all had homes before they were born.

Hi all,

I am not a breeder Saje. I started advertising in march. I have sold a total of one pup. I had another shipped off to a friend. I have 2 left, and another 6 went to a rescue. I hate whelping accidental litters. The 2 pups i have left are 6 months now.

What dogs are you referring to Blue? the pups or all of my dogs. or were you just kidding? ahh, you mean give them to good homes? Thanks for the idea... Well, for some sort of retribution if thats the right word, for all the pains and expenses of raising them. I am put through living hell when the litter was unexpected, and the reason for this is i overextend myself by making sure they are well behaved, and get good care. Can you imagine seeing your female get out only one day that she was in heat and having that day be the doom day that makes you come home one day to find her pregnant, then having to spend hundreds of dollars on food for 10 more dogs and dog shots, and having to seperate girls from boys, and pups from the rest when you have only yard enough for the adults? its a big pain. To give them away would be a final stab. Really, the main reason is to ensure that they will go to responsible homes, it is a responsible owner that can afford to buy them. If i give them away, there is the worry that they will be resold, or improperley fed, or improperly cared for, and not respected like they would be by someone that payed good money for them. I guess, lack of faith in mankind is the real reason. Sad but true.

I have people wanting me to ship them to europe, one guy wanted a girl for a petting zoo, one guy wanted one because he claims he had a 185 pound malamute and wanted a lazy dog, not everybody is educated enough to own a mal. So if they pay for them, then they are more likely to want to learn how to properly take care of them, and learn about them before they purchase the guardianship.

Thanks for the welcome.
geese, for such a big forum, why only 2 replies?

Those people breeding giant mals need to be sued. It's sad they breed them for size and don't worry about temperment or health and then advertise them as giant malamutes.....it's just so sick.

So you breed wolf hybrids?
Where did you get your other "wolfdogs" as you call them?

I believe you said you were not a breeder right, or did I miss something here. I think you are very smart about your way of thinking for finding homes. You may wish to try isellclassified. The website is www.isell.ca now they are Canadian but maybe it will help. It is put out by the people who so the auto trader and it is free to advertise in it.
