Where are you!?!? I don't think there are many members here who own an Australian Cattle Dog... Or am I just not finding you? (lol) I read a couple of people's posts that metioned they had an ACD, but I never hear much about them or see any pictures.:(

Any Heeler owners who read this, please tell me a little about your dog, and post a pic or two if you can!:)

Here's my baby Charlie!! He will be 2 years old in 4 more days:D

HEy i got a Blue ACD, however, mine is alot leaner than yours, his body isnt as thick, i wish it was though. He is by far the coolest dog ive ever had, he has such personality, and is very vocal. He just turned two last month. Sadly i bought him from a BYB but i didint know any better at the time, but i still love him. Im thinking that he will get thicker when i get him neutered. i only have one pic of him on my cokmputer and i dont know how to put it on here like you did.

I'd love to see him!:D I can tell you how to get a pic on here!

Go to www.imageshack.us, upload your picture. When you are replying click the little yellow square with the mountain on it. Copy and paste the last code they give you and click OK. I hope I explained it good enough.:)

Charlie wasn't from a good breeder either. His parents (blue female, red male) herd cattle and sheep on a farm. They are from working lines, and I also think he said they were registered, but I'm not sure. The breeding was accidental, the dogs were only young, about 1 year old. I think he got one of them fixed now so there won't be any more unwanted breedings.

Charlies head seems so much bigger than my dogs lol, his name is coupe by the way. and his whole body is black with little white hairs everywhere, i think they call it "cottled" or something like that, and he has a bentley on his forehead.

yeah they are a little different looking, still cute though. they have really short looking ears compared to coupes. Coupes ears were so long that they didnt stand up until he was about 10 weeks old, and all his litter mates' were up at 6. i'll try to get more pics soon.

This is a blue heeler, and just so you know the heeler is also called the austrailian cattle dog, they also come in red. they are different from the shepard because of the hair, color, ears etc, you can read the breed descriptions on akc.org and see which one sounds more like your dog.

I don't own one (I did years ago), but my very good friend raises/trains working Heelers. I will get you photos of his two males today. :)

yeah i forgot about the queensland heeler name....
Mine is a purebred.... but i think that his build may have to do with the fact that he was the runt...but maybe not...i have seen a few that are lean like him. he is so athletic also, he can run sooo fast and for so long. he doesnt look like it but he weighs 55lbs.

Charlie also weighs 55lbs!! 55.4 to be exact.:D They aren't very tall, but they have a heavy build, maybe that's why.:)
