Yes, my neighbor with the Golden Retriever wants to breed Baby and start a new breed. I told him to bend over and take one for the team. Idiot.

Oh, crap.
Yes, make mini-goldendoodles, and make up some funky color and add an extra grand on for that.

You shall make loads of money. I can see it now.

It is an empire in the making.

Jerks that is all they are3. I hate people trying to breed dogs together for no reason other then to think it is cool. Jerks and kudos to you for telling him what he can go do to himself.

Do you mean this literally? Or tongue and cheek?

Squirtsmom: You can tell your neighbor this, wether or not it will deture him who knows.
Most pyr rescues will not even accept pyr mixes due to the unpredictable nature of the dogs. Pyrs are not a breed that mix easily. I think in all my time doing rescue I only successfully placed one. The rest were not suitable for homes.

I think one reason they don't mix well is because the Pyr doesn't have a strong prey drive, its been bred to guard flocks, not herd them or hunt them. Then people go and cross them with BC or hunting type dogs and the two conflicting instincts drive them insane. Thats just my two cents anyway.

Shimmering Gold Pyroodles. They come in giant or thimble size.LOL

Well lilprairiemutt, that sounds reasonable to me. Anyway, my girl is going to be spayed soon, and she will not be attacked by the uh, dog.

She is exactly right. The nature of the pyr is so delicate that when crossed with another breed, especially with drive, you usually get a disaster.

Then its a done deal. I have a recurring dream that I have adopted a bright red cat. Don't know why, but there it is.
