I saw a post about hiding treats as a game. I like that idea but what are some active games we can play with our puppies without giving them the wrong idea? For example, my puppy likes to pull more than chase. But I've been told its not good to play tug of war with them and I've already seen how he in turns pulls on everything now ... sleeves, blankets etc. and I don't want him to think he's alpha. But, I don't know what games I can play that will get him running. My other dog is a serious ball chaser so I never had this problem. He likes chasing a toy at the end of a rope but again I'm afraid I'm teaching him bad habbits.

Tugs a good game. My guys know that when I say "Enough!". They let go, right away.

Have you tried a frisbee? He might be too young to fully understand retrieving but at least he would get some exercise chasing it! LOL

I wrestled with my guys when they were young a lot. Got down on my hands and knees to their level and played. Never had a problem with them getting serious, a few times they got too excited and I just stopped.

Sorry, I can't think of anything else right now. LOL
