Getting new puppy

We are adopting a shelter puppy (approx 10 weeks old). They think she is a spaniel mix. We will meet her on Saturday. Can anyone suggest some good puppy books for us. It has been over 15 years since I did the puppy thing. I was single then, now have husband and 4 kids - and one newly adopted yellow lab girl @ 1 1/2 yrs. old.

Congrats on the new puppy! And kudos to you for taking steps to prepare. A very good book is "How to Raise a Puppy you can Live With". Sorry, I don't remember the author at the moment.

Congratulations! on your new addition, so nice too see more people giving homes to dogs who have ended up in shelters. There are plenty of good books available, Gempress suggested a good book and also you can try The Complete Guide to Puppy Care by Mark Evans not sure whether you can get it in the US im pretty sure you can, i managed to find a copy on Amazon
