There is an ad that keeps coming up on this site "Dog Chooser"... so I got curious and had to click... first off the questions are really wierd... like what do you envision the dogs name being Spike, Rufus, Molly, or Daisy? How is that going to help narrow down what dog I should get.

The answers are even funnier:
1. Papillon
2. Maltese
3. Golden Retriever~!

Yes the Golden is very similar to the other two.

So come on people have some fun, click away.

lets see I got

Golden Retriever x Great Pyrenees = Golden Pyrenees
Owners should expect this mixed breed to be easier to train than prebred Great Pyrenees. These dogs can be quite large depending on their parents. Expect little in the way of grooming requirements, but do expect to provide a lot of exercise.

Mastiff x Rottweiler = English Mastweiler
These large dogs should be easier to train than purebred Mastiffs. Expect relatively low grooming needs, and light shedding. While these dogs may have relatively lower energy levels, they will still require regular exercise due to their large size.

Bernese Mountain Dog x Mastiff = Mountain Mastiff
These dogs can be very large and will have thick fur. Those with allergies should stay away from this one. Should be relatively calm in disposition and will be good with children.

Bichon Frise x Shetland Sheepdog = Shelchon
Both of these breeds are known for their intelligence and ease of training. Depending on the parents and breeding line, they may be good for those with allergies as well. These dogs should have a moderate to high energy level.

that thing seriously amused me lmao

I got the same ones as Jess too. Apparently, if you don't specify purebred only, they start hitting you with the "designer mill dogs." Ugh. What a repugnant site.

#1 Bichon Frise x Dachshund = Doxie-ChonLife Expectancy: Doxie-Chons can live to be between 13 - 15 years of age. Size: Doxie-Chons are about 7 to 8 pounds when fully grown. Characteristics: Doxie-Chons are very playful and cuddly dogs. Temperament: Doxie-Chons are happy and social dogs. They love to be around people. Family Dog: Doxie-Chons make good family dogs and are good with children. Companionship: Doxie-Chons are very lovable and social dogs. They make great companions. Color: Doxie-Chons come in a wide variety of colors. Coat: Doxie-Chons can have a fluffy or wire coat. Grooming: Doxie-Chons will need to be brushed regularly depending on their exact coat type, a wire brush will work best for a longer, fluffy coat. Barking: Doxie-Chons are not known for barking.

#2 Bichon Frise x Brussels Griffon = GriffichonExpect a small dog with little shedding and a calm disposition. These breeds do not require much exercise, but will require regular grooming to care for their coat.

#3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Havanese = CavaneseTemperament: Cavanese are outgoing and happy dogs. Companionship: Cavanese are very friendly and make great companion dogs. Color: Cavanese can have black and tan, parti or sable coats. Shedding: Cavanese have low shedding coat which makes them a very good choice for people with allergies.

Wildcard... Bichon Frise x Havanese = Havachon These little dogs will require regular grooming, but can also be easy on those with allergies. Also, both breeds have relatively lower general upkeep needs.

I have a doxie, a bichon, and a possible king charles spaniel....so they're aren't too far off with the guesses, except them being 'designer breeds'.

The Golden Labrador is a mix between the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever. This breed is an excellent companion for most families. Weight: 60-100 (Lbs.) Height: 20-24 (Inches.) Character: Golden Labradors are loving, intelligent and easy to train. Temperament: Golden Labradors get along well with children and other pets. Care: The coat needs to be brushed a few times each week and bathed occasionally. Training: Golden Labradors learn quickly and train easily. Activity: This breed needs plenty of exercise. Country of Origin: Afghanistan Health Issues: Life Expectancy: 10-12 (Yrs.)

GSD, Dobe, Lab and BC.

Um... the picture of the BC looks awfully familiar, reminds me a LOT of a dog that belonged to someone that turned up here ages ago and they had just adopted it? It looks like the exact same picture, but maybe I've just seen it other places.

whoa whoa whoa! what about the question

Do you think you'd obtain this pooch:

1: from a breeder, custom ordered
2: from a breeder, through a pet store
3: based on what the local pet store has in stock
4: at a shelter
5: other
6: skip this question

and if you pick pet store it let's you continue with the test. There's no "this is where puppy store puppy come from..." and WTF is with the "custom ordered" this isn't a piece of furniture we're talking about!

I think that site needs to get banned. It not only gives you bs breeds, but I (at least) feel it's promoting mills.

I never got any of those questions. I just got the typical, amount of grooming, exercising, if you want a watch dog or companion or both, type questions.
