We have been feeding the puppy the food that the breeder was feeding it a long with a mix of some that we bought from the vet. Is there a specific brand of food that is better for lab puppies??

I am wondering this myself. Zoe which is also a lab has been on Nutrim as the breeder had her on it. It is hard to find in every pet food store and I find it too expensive for me.

Is the Chicken Soup one an all natural food?

It seems that Performatrin has an all natural food out now. The ingredients are so good I could eat it myself. I am considering that one.

I met a lady in Petsmart that feeds her labs raw meat. Mostly chicken . I didnt know that was even an option.

Mordy I did look at that site. There are a lot of chemicals in dog foods as well as our own...It is hard to know which is the best.

Elly, yes I believe Chicken Soup For The Puppy Lovers Soul is all natural. That is what I was told by Binn's breeder to feed him. He cant have food that is high in protein because of his growing bones. It would make his bones grow to fast.

Crazydog, yes Diamond pup food is also good. That was the alternative food I was told to use incase I didnt choose Chicken Soup.

I had my lab on Eagle Pack and then switched her to Canidae. Those are good foods, although Innova is better though but too expensive for me to afford, one day maybe.

Canadianmandy: In a word, no.

To the OP, I'm not sure of the availabiltity of premium dog foods in your area, but I would try to find Canidae, Solid Gold, Innova, California Natural or Eagle Pack. If there is a Costco near you, I hear the Kirkland's Signature Chicken is decent as well.

Hmm...cheesecake :D

(Not really)...I feed Charlie Innova puppy. When he grows older, I'm switching him to Innova EVO. A pet store about 20 miles away from me carries it. The best stuff out there, IMO.
