So, the other day, I was giving Finn epic spine rubs, his favorite, and figured I'd do a quick mat check on his buttwings. I do a mat check periodically between brushes.

Somehow, in the past two weeks or so, his entire inner fur area has matted up. :yikes: So I had to take action!

Today I attempted brushing them out, but was only mildly successful. Finally I just took the scissors to them. Luckily the other layer of fur was unaffected, so you can't even tell unless you look closely.

Then I decided while I was at it, I'd bathe him, pull out my grooming tool arsenal and give him the full brush-out. I brushed out a whole other dog. I realized I haven't given him a full epic groom since before switching to Acana. His coat has evened itself out VERY nicely and I love how it looks now!

So here, have some photos.

Between rinse cycles, still a bit shampoo-y, having a shake-off.

Feels so gooooood

Drowned rat-dog.

After drying off and an hour and a half of epic brushing, combing, snipping and clipping... hello handsome.

Showing off his new mat-free buttwings to all the ladies.

Model pose?

This is his good side.

Since he was extremely patient and relaxed during my poking and prodding him for all that time (which he's so not used to), he got rewarded with one of his favorite backyard activities...

I got this!

Shinee.

Smarmy brat.

That's all for now!

awww, Finn is such a lover.

Seriously, can that dog do ANYTHING wrong?
I doubt it.

I love him.
