Alright, I'm finally switching Cricket to Fromm Surf and Turf. She has dry skin and baldy reddish areas so I wanted to go to grain free and gluten free to see if that helps her skin any. Since I brought her home she has been on the Kirkland Chicken and Rice formula.
If all goes well we will eventually be switching Bamm too, but I want to first focus on Cricket's skin and go from there.
Here's my question. I'm slowly switching her over to the Fromm right now by mixing it with her other food. Once I make the final switch I have no idea how much to feed her though. The bag of Fromm is smaller and a lot more expensive than what I have been feeding, but it's higher quality as well. On the Kirkland, Cricket was getting 1.5 cups a day (half cup in AM and a cup in PM). She weighs 33lbs. The bag of Fromm says to feed a dog that is 30lbs 1 and 3/4 cup a day. That's more than what I feed with Kirkland which would mean I would be going through this food a little faster on top of paying more for it. That just seems like a lot to feed of this quality of food for a dog her size I think and I know with higher quality foods you generally feed less.
So your opinion. How much of this stuff should I be feeding her?
