Thanks everyone!! She is certainly a well loved little dog.
I cannot believe she's a year old either, although she definitely hasn't felt very puppyish for a long time...girls, they grow up so fast.
Happy birthday Feist! Now, since you're twelve months old, don't you think it's about time to have some puppies?
Uhhhh, she HAS babies! She has cats and guinea pigs and bunnies and they r her babies and she loves them and cleans them and snuggles them. one of her cat babies is really angry and chases her and scratches her, this confuses her greatly
ah well she still loves that baby.
Nope. Not allowed.
She is seriously one of the prettiest Border Collies ever. I love her structure and if she were mine she would get away with everything 'cause she is SO DANG CUTE.
She does get away with everything!!!
it pays to be cute.
And just some pictures from some disc dogging in the park the other evening!
Little girl can get air!
This cracks me up, she looks like a frightened cat
Another amusing one, the Feistbullet working on her cheetah running form
She does very well compensating for my throws
All tuckered <3
Favorite of the day for sure!
We also went to an open disc dog practice this morning, it was a ton of fun! Feist was awesome around all the other dogs, a lot of them were barking like crazy when they were put up in the crates, some were dog reactive, and Feist took the whole environment in stride. She was very happy to meet new people to give kisses to and wiggle into their laps.
I was super proud of how she did waiting on the sideline, we have a big hole in her socialization in that she's never been to any dog sport events/watched other dogs working, and I was expecting to have some work to do.
Other than some initial excitement when she heard someone else tell their dog to go 'tunnel' (they had a frisbee game with agility equip. set up), she was almost completely uninterested in the action and focused on me. She was even fine with being held on leash by my dad and watching me practice throws from the sidelines.
Aside from that, the practice was super fun and I met some really nice people, a lot of herding dogs (border collies, shelties, aussies oh my!) and got some great tips on how to work on my throwing. The people running the group were quite excited with Feist, which was pretty cool. We were encouraged to come out mid-september for a toss n' fetch competition, so provided I'm not busy that saturday, we might make our dog sport debut. Fun fun!
