Here's the latest pictures of him. I've got his wings on. They've got scotch tape on them while they dry, after that I'll touch up with a bit more paint and then coat them with varnish. After that his hair, and then I'll get his tunic on. It's finished, just can't put it on until the wings are done. Oh! And the face is getting a bit more touching up. The paint dried a weird frosting pink on his lips and eyelids.

He has kung fu pants. lol. Any suggestions for a name? My mom is calling him "Periwinkle Anklechopper", and somehow it doesn't quite fit. :rofl1:

Well . . . he's wearing karate pants, has wings somewhat reminiscent of a grasshopper's, he's Fae so how about Ar-Kaine? You should put a pebble in his hand ;)

By the way, you've sculpted his hands exquisitely :)

Ack, sorry everyone. I've been trying to find time to finish his hair and sew his sleeves on. He's nearly there! Thanks for all your kind comments!

How do you make the wings and what do you make them out of? It looks like to stole them from a dragonfly!
Magic. :D

Actually, I had to draw a vein pattern and lay my material on top, then hand etch the veins into the material, then wipe damp paint on and off until the veins filled with color. Ack. :wall: lol. Hopefully it'll get less labor intensive in time, but I'm happy with the results so far. They're really durable. :)

Here's some updated pics. Robert has our good camera at school so I had to use my moms, and they aren't as good. But he's not totally finished. I have to finish styling his hair, touch up his face (he looks like he's wearing bad makeup atm), and trim his clothes. He's also missing a sleeve...d'oh
