it's not a particularly good quality food, made by a company with questionable ethics. you can get better quality brands for the same amount of money or less.

its all relative. since you never had her on a high quality food, you dont know how much better/healthier she may become.

Hewr coat is nice and shiny, and she is really active. The vet has nothing but good things to say about her.

You know, some vets are paid to promote low quality dog food.

Whatever works for you, though.

Shiny sometimes equals greasy. And it usually ends up being about long-term affects like cancer...

I use to feed Lucuas Pedigree and I thought he was doing really good on that, but after switching to solid gold I can see the difference. And believe me there was a big difference! He was more active, less pooh, healthier coat, and just diong better!

I feed my dogs eagle pack and their coats are shiny and healthy and they are really active too. Also my vet has nothing but good things to say about their condition and growth as well. Eukanuba won't neccasarily kill your dog but there are a lot of foods that are much better. Seeing as you aren't the primary money maker in your house, and you are just a kid, there really isn't much you can do about the dog food situation though. Lots of people feed Eukanuba, Iams, or Pedigree and their dogs live long and healthy lives. I wouldn't worry about your dog. Heck my husband's parents dogs all ate whatever was on sale that week at the grocery store, so they never got to eat a brand of food continously through their whole life and they were fine. As long as your puppy is doing good that is all that matters. If your dog is doing good on Eukanuba and it likes it why fight with your parent's about switching foods and making them mad?

We have been feeding to her since she was about 10 weeks, and let me say she is very healthy and thriving. I dont see what is so bad about eukanuba!
mostly the products that they use most formulas have one by-product in them and that isn't good. Lily was on Eukanuba when we first got her but I really do notice a difference now that she is on Eagle Pack though. Although the dumb lady we got her from was feeding her the Eukanuba small bite which isn't for puppies:rolleyes: and now she is on a food that puppies can eat so ofcourse she is going to do better. Although I told the woman and she has since switched to another Eukanuba formula, one for pups and one for adults. I was going to keep Lily on Eukanuba but then I compared prices on the Eukanuba and the Eagle Pack and Eagle Pack was a couple dollars more than the Eukanuba (but the Eukanuba also happened to be on sale though). I would suggest maybe doing some shopping with whoever buys the food. Help them see that yeah maybe the Eukanuba is a little cheaper but you are also feeding twice as much than you would with a better quality food.

Uses to feed Ekanuba Puppy for large breed when I first got Mango, just say she didn't do very well, and after 4 weeks, i switched to raw and she is doing very very good. Just love her soft fur and unlimited energy :)

Nothing is really wrong with it. It's not like their actually selling you cat food and calling it dog food. It will keep your dog alive but it's just not as good as some of the other dog food selections that are available. Not only are you spending a lot of money on a not so good food you are also feeding a lot more. You could spend maybe a few dollars more on a better quality food and feed less of it and so you'd be saving money. Lets just say, hypothetically speaking, you are feeding your puppy 5 cups of Eukanuba a day, well with lets say Eagle Pack (agian hypothetically speaking) you may only need to feed her 2 cups a day. So right there you are feeding your dog 3 cups less of the Eukanuba and she will poop less and it will be easier to clean up, she will be eating a better quality food that contains no by-products, and you most likely will notice a difference in her coat and probably shedding if she sheds a lot. I know when I switched my dog back onto Eagle Pack she was shedding like crazy and now it's back down to a manageable level.

Well have you done your research? Do you know about the ingredients in your dog food? Do you know what makes a food good? If not maybe you should do that ... at some point in your life.
