Emma is at the Vets again

(This year has been horrible for dogs! I lost my Zen May 17th, my best friend lost his dog 2 weeks after that to a car, a friend from another forum lost their dog, and then you and 2 other forum members I know of have very sick dogs!). When will it end?

They have no idea just that her kidneys arent working properly. No idea why tho

Talked to the vet. Shes better with the IVs again. He is sending blood to a lab to check for Andersons wich effects electrolites. And her heart rate was low when I brought her in. Our bill is over $1300 now. Im not sure how much longer we can go. I need to talk to the vet about payments if it goes much higher. I had nightmares all last about it

She strained to pee a bit yesterday. Everything is normal when on IVs but when she is off of them her kidney levels go back up

Yes Rene thats what he said. Im hoping its that. Kidney infections can be so hard to treat in humans. Thanks for the links. I will update you all tomorrow when I get more info

Ah, Addison's. yes. i should have figured that out myself.. bad day.

Nothing new. Shes doing great on IVs. Shes classic Addissons except no vomiting. Test results should be back tomorrow night or the next day. Jazz is SO upset. Shes never been without Emma. No matter how cold it is even minus 40 she will NOT come in untill Emmas in. She is that devoted to her. They even travel to shows together. Since she was 8 weeks Emma was allways there. Poor Emma. Poor Jazz.
