i didnt mean you sharpei i was tlaking about homeless and saje i was going to but i couldnt do that to her or give anyone a puppy like that shes trying to use one of them tho!!! she pushed off with one last night and continues to do it. but shes going and getting spayed as soon as the dr. give us the ok. i know renee ccan we all believe shes actully trying to use one i remember my post when it first happened and now i look at her and cant believe we thought she would have to be put down.
i cant wait to move out, i am 21 still live with parents, but it is so hard to find anywhere over ere thats cheap unless i want to live on a estate and be rob all the time lol, even then couldnt afford one lol, in so much debt woops cars lol

It's amazing what a little love can do for creatures. My neighbour had a daughter who is my age. She is mentally and physically handicapped. They didn't think she was going to live and if she did she would never develop mentally. They tried to convince her mom to give her up but she wouldn't. She took her home and worked with her full-time. She know has the mentality of about a 14-year-old. Physically, I don't think she's doing to well. I don't remember what was wrong with her but when I used to babysit her she had one foot without toes and one 'stump' as she called it - no foot. She's since had various operations to remove her other foot and part of her other leg. I think. I haven't seen her in awhile.
BUT the neat thing is that the last time I saw her her parents were making arrangements for her to have her own apartment. She won't ever be without support of course. I'm not sure exactly what they've arrange but she will have a sense of independence and when I talked to her she was very excited about it.
As you can see I don't talk to her often. Only about once a year. But it's interesting how much a little love and dedication helped her. I'm sure we've all witnessed situations like that if not been a part of them. I think one of the things all life forms have in common is the will to survive and that is amazingly strong. don't you think?

Don't be hard on Homeless. He makes valid points and has to deal with irresponsible pet owners everyday. If we all thought like he did almost all pets would have good homes. I know when I'm at the shelter (several times every week) I see all sorts of animals whose owners make me want to scream. I've walked Skeena - named after the Skeena river where he was rescued after his owners through him in. And I play with the shy cat Oliver who came neutered (very rare here) and was given up because he 'didn't get along with the other cats.' There was a beautiful siameseX that was given up because their female cat got pregant and he didn't like the kittens. Tuesday, I took Jezy out, a border collieX who cowers when anyone goes in her pen but once is outside is extremely energetic and happy. this makes me very angry at people and I don't deal with it as much as Homeless.
I'm glad you aren't going to breed your pits now. Altering them and having them as your own babies will make them very happy after the life they've led. I'm sure that's all they've ever wanted. Do you see many puppies at the greyhound rescue where you volunteer? They must be cute. I've never seen greyhound puppies. There must be a lot of racing where you are. Not here. But back at my parents place my sister worked at the concession stand at the dog races when she was quite young. She always felt bad for them. I don't think she stayed there very long.

Homeless is just very passionate about this problem and is in a part of the world where it is particularly terrible.
We were actually sending adoptable dogs and cats - and even a few bunnies, Saje - from shelters here in Tennessee up to shelters in several different northern states because they had more requests for adoptable animals than they could fill. What a wonderful 'problem' to have, hmm? I just wish it hadn't been so easy for us to fill the need . . .

they are treated very good here they eat better then i eat sometimes they eat ground beef and fresh veggies every day lol and are never hurt. but no they stay on a puppy farm until 18 weeks because they are VERY VERY energetic destructive puppys lol. we get them at a year every once in awile. 2-3 are more common but we get them returned sometimes GRRR. lol but they love life now we may use morgan as a stud because i want one of his babies as a use for my own line if i do it. and because he is going to be a great athelete and has a great loving personality
it seemed like you assumed i didnt and i get irritated if people dont know the whole story and just start saying what i want to do is wrong and all that. im very dedicated to getting rescue pit bulls but i also want to breed dogs and i will when i get out on my own i plan to breed black and tan coonhounds or canaan dogs. i know i prolly got my temper up fast but that stuff really irks me becuase i live with my mom doing that about everything i do.
