- Brother #1 was partially deaf and blind in one eye
- Brother #2 was completely blind but could hear
- Sister was completely blind AND deaf
- Puck is just deaf as of right now
I agree with those who said Dachshund x Chi mix and both parents had to have been merles, or dapple as it is called in Dachshunds. The litter would be double-merles which would explain the deafness and blindness. If only one parent was a merle or double-merle and the other was non-merle the pups would be normal, not deaf or blind. Because of this I think there is only one sire of the litter despite the numerous outcome of looks in the pups.

Cute puppy by the way. :)

Editted to add: I should have asked if you saw the mom or the other puppies before I said the above. Do you know what they looked like?

what a cutie. I hope you're using ASL signs to train him. Go to any ASL site on line to learn the basics, sit, come, stay, etc. (((((hugs)))) for adopting a special needs puppy.

Any animal that can carry more than one baby at a time can have multiple fathers for the litter.

Once on the news there was a woman who had fraternal twins, and didn't know who the father was. Paternity testing revealed one twin was fathered by one man, and the other twin fathered by another man she had been with (both on the same night at the same party)

Yep.... I've heard this too! She gets around that is all I know! LOL
