It was super nice out and david convinced me to take Talon to play some disc. So I did, and well..... we need practice! :p We tried doing a few tricks and I am so rusty! It went terribly but he made me laugh by traying to sping backwards around me, than through my legs forwards, than backwards, than all over the place lol.

Plus, this is kinda cute I think.

Oh and you can probably tell in that video that our lovely day went from lovely to snowy. We got there and it just started pouring snow. I was lucky I use my thick coat for disc dog stuff because it hurts my back otherwise.
That looks great!

I've been so super pleased with Jackson. A dog who did not even show interest in frisbee now just loves it and begs to go play. AND he's now consistently catching throws like this:

Nothing super impressive, as far as distance, etc, but I'm so happy with my little man. He used to catch maybe 1 in every 5 throws. Now he's catching like 4 in every 5. And honestly my throwing needs a lot of work.

He really is more hesitant to catch the plastic discs, but this small soft ChuckIt one has been perfect for catching, even though it doesn't throw as nicely.

The huge amounts of ice covering the lawn finally melted and we can play disc again! It feels like it has been a while. Really nice to get back into it. Onyx absolutely looooves disc, they are her favourite.

I'm glad this thread is being resurrected! Definitely going to need some inspiration!

Babyblue5290 that is super cute! And Jacksonsmom, he looks great, that's awesome you guys have made so much progress.

Britt, what kind of disc do you use for Jackson? My mom has a Coton de Tulear pup that I think would be really into disc, but he's real shy about big, hard plastic (understandable since he's so little!!!).

This one^

He will play with the hard discs, but won't catch them from farther distances, he lets them drop first THEN runs back lol. But he is definitely less hesitant to catch the Chuckit one.

Yay, the snow and ice is gone from our yard so we can play disc again! We really slacked this winter, and had to brush up on some stuff. Took some video the other day...sorry she keeps going out of frame, I sold my wide angle lens so now it's really hard to take video when there isn't someone manning the camera :(

She looks so great!!! You have some killer leg weaves too and I love her spin both ways. Also like the stand stay a lot.

Our minds also think alike "Not freezing anymore? No snow? NO SHOES!"

Fergus meeting the disc! He makes me laugh, he's such a puppy. And going to need to get a drop going on because he's got quite a grip when tugging and doesn't like the let go. Ever.

Thanks!! I really like him, he's just so cute and goofy and it's fun working with a not herding breed for a change.

And seriously! I jumped back so fast the first time he decided to spring straight up like that. Major hops!

I love Fergus! He's adorable!!!

I'm about to head to the park with Siri and throw the disc. We'll see if she wants to play. This winter she was amazing at the disc dates about staying on the disc (for the most part), but historically if we go to the park along she will maybe half ass it a couple of times and then decide she has better things to do. I'm hoping that lack of tennis balls over the past few months will help.

Recon and I are starting to get into disc a little more and we're getting better! The youtube video is w/ pup discs before our hero discs came in. Second video (facebook link) is from his first time playing with standard hero discs! At $1.99 I am totally buying a ton more. XD We're going to try to hit a few competitions this year to get the feel for it, and play at the premier. We're working on more fancy stuff now, and I'm still practicing my throws. That's the worst part.

It's getting him in great shape, too! We stopped at three different fields yesterday and played for probably a total of 2 hours. A friend joined us at the dog park with her disc dog (Bart!) and we had a great time. Frisbees flying EVERYWHERE.

Fergus is coming along well with his disc work. And by that I mean I'm getting him to come back for a tug and to drop it if I hold still for a few seconds. So that's huge improvement since I think most of his puppy hood was having things taken away from him for chewing or mouthing he wasn't keen on bringing it back so I would take it.

He's also decided he loves them above all toys. Yay!

Siri is learning to flip.

That is all. :D
YAY!! Video!!

Snow is FINALLY gone!

Kili caught a couple discs in the backyard today. Then I put the disc away. Hoping I can build up her disc drive this year!

So happy the snow is gone and can't wait to see what you do with her this year!!

Sorry it's out of focus. I was too lazy to dig out my tripod from my truck.

She's showing some good interest this spring. Hoping we can make this a thing! :) She was already pretty tired at this point because we'd been to agility, then the dog park, and then I drilled weaves for a bit. So pretty good for a tired girl!
