Digital SLRs

I know there are quite a few members with digital SLR cameras on here and I need your help! :hail:

I am looking to by a high quality and decent priced (under $1000 AU) camera. What I've been thinking about is either a Canon eos 400D or a Nikon D40.

Any suggestions, imput, help, advice etc is greatly appreciated! Thankyou!

The Nikon D40 is great and comes with a great lens.

Check out the K100D from Pentax as well. Between that, the D40 and the digital rebel, you'll find one of them fits you better than the others and all of them will produce excellent results.
