I'm glad you made her an appointment. You'll both feel better once you know what is really going on and can get it all fixed up.

It concerns me that even here among friends you feel you have to validate/defend your reasons for not telling Josh. :(
This and especially the bold. :(

I think its just a force of habit. I know I shouldn't have to defend my reasons here but I'm so used to doing so that it sort of just comes out.

Have another issue. Even with the elizabethan collar on her she somehow managed to get ahold of her other back foot and it looks really bad. I scrubbed both her feet with betadine and then used the wipes that the vet gave me. I really need to get the topical steroid they gave me an rx for. It's like $20 and I could only afford the vet visit and the wipes. I'm going to see my step mom tomorrow and may see if she can loan me $20 until I get paid next week.

If you'd rather stick with Fromm, what about the grain-inclusive Fromm Four-Star formulas? Several of them have a single protein and a single carbohydrate source, and are of course free of wheat, corn and other allergens, therefore good for many dogs with allergies.

They're also a bit cheaper than the grain-frees, usually.

There's a pork & applesauce formula as well as a duck & potato formula, so no fish required. ;) Pork would likely be a more novel protein, and I may recommend it over the duck since her reaction may be to the Game Bird.

Thanks to amazing chazzers, Cricket will be getting the rest of her prescription. Thank you so much!

Allie, I definitely trust Fromm so would rather stick with Fromm if I can. I think we actually do sell the pork one at my work. I'll look when I go back to work next Tuesday. We also have samples of all our foods so I can grab a handful of samples and see how she does before purchasing a large bag.

Thats awesome, good vibes that she's healed up fast! :)

I understand how force of habit works, but you shouldn't have had to get in that habit in the first place. You deserve better than that. :)
