Both Art and Tal are generally loose in the car, with Talon being in the crate for longer trips.

Usually my dogs are free. But it depends who i'm taking and how long we'll be there. Nova is i think my only dog that isn't an anxious mess if i leave her alone in the car (such as at a dog event) so i have a crate in there for the other two. But it's more for when we are parked than moving.

We use a crate. Cinnamon was good in the car so we usually jus put he im the backseat with one of us with her watching her, but she mostly just sat there the entire ride LOL.

Merlin has only mostly ever been on trains/subways etc.. lol where he is just on leash and loose.

He has a harness for the car. It has a seatbelt attachment.. designed by Kong I believe

Crates, crates, crates.... securely fastened into the car.

I'm so glad I have the ability to have multiple crates in my vehicle, and I understand how hard it can be to fit multiple crates. I think people have to do the best they can to keep their pets safe on the road.

Loose in the backseat. Even a single crate for my smallest dog wouldn't fit in my car.
