I am so so sorry to hear about Max. One of my dogs is a cancer survivor so I can feel some of your pain. It is horrible losing a dog to that disease. And nothing can fill the hole in your heart left by your beloved dog. You did right by him though, because it was his time, and there was nothing you could have done to make his life last longer. As it was he had a wonderful life with you. He is free at the bridge.
