Kenya loves her raw and does great on it, totally not a problem.

but the problem is that on days when im away, or during hurricane time or emergencies .I cant give her raw and we need something more convenient, like kibble.

Would it be OK for kenyas main food to be raw and then to do kibble sometimes? would it affect her in any way?

and now the raw questions..

we've been giving kenya diffrent meat pretty much every day.. is that OK? For instance, our neighbor brought her deer one day, then next she had chicken, rabbit, buffalo ect.. or does she have to be on more of a routine?

Is it ok for her to eat it outside? lol she makes such a mess inside!

Now that we have her doing GREAT on raw and used to it. i want to go a bit more into it, with supplements and things to add.. advice?

Not a problem. I did that with the Horsemen whenever we needed to board them. It's hard to find a kennel around here willing to store 20 pounds of raw meat.

As long as her tummy is used to the different foods, I'd say go nuts! Variety is the spice of life with raw.

That's how I did it with my two. Step 1: put dog in yard. Step 2: toss meat out to dog. The end. I didn't even bother with a food bowl most of the time, unless it was liquidy stuff like blended organ meat and yogurt. I figure any grass and leaves that stuck to the meat was just fiber. :D It certainly didn't slow my dogs down.

I know a few people who feed raw mainly, but feed kibble as one meal a day. That way, when they travel or otherwise would rather rely on kibble, their dogs do fine tummy-wise with a quick switch.

If/when I switch to raw, that's the method I would probably use.

Yes is the easy answer to all your questions :)

Sierra's getting *mostly* kibble right now, with a raw meal about once or twice a week. She was on entirely raw for about a year and a bit, and was on mostly raw with a few kibble meals a week for a while, then half and half before we ended up where we are at the moment. I hope to get her back on raw 100% by this summer again.

When on raw, she gets a pretty wide variety too. I figured out pretty quick what meat she couldn't handle (venison) and once we eliminated that we were golden!

I WISH I had the ability to feed outside! So much easier! LOL Chuck on the lawn and go :)
