I pulled a dog from AC In june who was told to be a "pure bred" Pittie Well He is now 5 1/2 months old & not looking very pittie to me. Now This shouldnt matter but im in a city that is facing BSL & I have one PB PIttie. So My question is Do Any PIttie people here think this is a PB pittie?? Or Mixxx & if so with what? I knowa its a long shot but I thought I would ask. (note) His hair is slightly longer than my PB Pittie. Thanks & BTW How do I post his picture? Guess you would need that huh.:)

You can open a free account with www.photobucket.com then upload the pictures there. From there copy and paste the link that has the
around it. Its the last box under the picture. Cant wait to see. :)

Ok I have got some pictures of him. I used the photobucket I hope this works!! I have some pittie rescue contacts & they are stumped as well. ( I do dog rescue if you cant tell) :) BUT I dont rescue pit bulls I do Mastiffs & MIn Pins. I got my first rescue pittie (Honey) & fell in LOVE WITH the breed!! So when I Learned of this 6 week old pittie pup that was to be PTS cause he was in a banned city I pulled him. All is history now.. We love him But not real sure bout his breed. His nose is longer than Honey's & his hair is slightly longer. He is now 5 1/2 months old 20 +ish pounds. Thanks for any thought. If these pics dont show I can e mail them.

I wouldn't rule out a touch of hound in him.

If you are looking to ID him as something other than a pit (due to the BSL), it's possible he could pass as a cur. My dog is a Mountain Cur, and looks like a hound/terrier cross. One of the reasons I like the look of her so much is because it is pretty "pitty". I don't know where you are located, but I understand they are quite common in the southern US.

Thank You What a pretty dog! The BSL Is Bad around here.(missouri) We lost our homeowners insurance policy due to my other rescue. but im not going to willingly register him if they pass the ban this month unless he fits the bill & right now he doesnt to me. Thats why im asking for others thought. If all else fails our house will be on the market shortly. Brooke

He looks pitbull, but mixed. The muzzle is long for a pit bull. That third photo, something about the head and the attitude reminds me of a red Doberman.

I agree 100% about the Muzzle. I want to say Pittie/Lab. He has that lab look in the one where he's laying down, and you can see his profile. He's a gorgeous dog! :)

I was at handling class tonight and thought of this post and your dog when I saw the vizslas running around. Could just be the color and the nose, but I see a similarity.

Oh he does look like Yami. IS yami a PB or Mix? My PB Female has a short muzzle & I think she may have some staffy in her. They are all great dogs but if i could save $2000 a year by him neing enough of another breed i would! :)

I would say 80% Pittie (and Pittie not Amstaff) I would agree with the hound proponents for the other 20%. But if you are asking me with a BSL looming over his head....

I would say 100% Nubian Cattle dog....Very very rare but extremely human friendly. :p
