Boom and I had our first AKC obedience trial this weekend. He did better than I could have ever wished for. I am very proud of my baby boy.

AKC obedience day 1...could have been better, but it could have been worse!
Boom did nicely in Novice on his heeling, figure 8, stand, recall, and group sit.
He had a 192 1/2 until he decided to do a 3 minute stand, instead of a down :( Nice try little man.

AKC rally day 1...
Boom rocked the Rally course, and ended up with a 99. He took 1st Place & was the highest scoring dog in Novice A & B.
I must also add that both of his judges had nothing but compliments about him.
When I was leaving the AKC Rep even came up to me & told me how awesome Boom was, and that it is nice to see a dog that is happy to work. ♥ BOOM ♥

Forgot to mention that I looked at the scores for Novice A, and out of 7 dogs, Boom was in 2nd Place (before his 3 minute stand).
He was only 1/2 point behind the 1st Place dog (which already has its CD title). Not too shabby for a first timer :)

AKC obedience day 2...
Boom & I just got done with Novice Obedience. He was spot on today, and rocked the ring! He got his first CD leg with a 195,
took 1st Place (out of 10 dogs) and got Novice A High In Trial. Go Boom!
I must also mention, that during the 3 minute down, the dog next to Boom decided to wander off, but Boom did his job and stayed there.

AKC rally Day 2...Boom did great in spite of me! He got a 99 (for a crooked sit), a 1st Place, and earned his 2nd leg toward his Rally Novice title.

Here is a video of Boom's Novice run today...

Thanks for sharing in my excitement!
