So, a friend of mine is starting work on an organic farm soon, and today he texted me the farm has "the best dogs". When I asked what kind, he said "The fluffy white kind!". They're also "big".
I started texting him the names of all the big fluffy white breeds I could think of. I wasn't sure at first if they were actively working farm dogs, but assumed they were - either ratters, herders, or guarders.
I now know what breed they are - but I want to see what everyone guesses first. And also, name kinds of "big white fluffy dogs" that aren't typically used for farm work, as well, I just want to see what's out there that I may not have heard of. I'll let you all know what they are later.
I came up with:
Samoyed
Great Pyranees
Kuvasz
Anatolian Shepherd Dogs - I don't think they come in white, but my friends are dumb.
Maremma Sheepdogs
I also considered they might be some kind of large cream or off-white golden or labradoodle.
