I'm completely stuck, and my husband is of no real help. We are due with another little girl in early February, and it's driving me nuts that no names have clicked for me yet. My husband has no ideas/input, so it's up to me to find a first name that he doesn't dislike. Our current daughter's name is Allison, so I want something that doesn't sound odd with that. I don't want anything too popular, and I'm not into creative spelling. My husband does not like names of objects/places/colors (think flowers, gems, etc.) The biggest catch, is the middle name will be either Lee or Leigh (both pronounced exactly the same). It's been used as a middle name in my husband's side of the family for many generations so it's important to him. We were saving it to use for a boy, but as we plan for this to be our last she's going to get stuck with it.

I've been through a few baby names websites and nothing that would work with the middle name has jumped out at me. So if anyone wants to toss any ideas out there I'd love to hear them!

Of the ones already mentioned, I really like Amelia, Charlotte, and Claire.
Estelle or Stella is pretty.

I like Kate, but with Lee I guess it would need to be Katherine.

I know someone named Jenna whose middle name is Lee. Jenna is very pretty.

A lot of those names are actually on my list. My husband actually made a suggestion finally (Riley), and I don't really like it much but don't want to discourage him from making more suggestions so I told him we'll toss it in with the rest of the maybes.

I was debating Sarah, but I don't know if I can do that in good conscience with the middle name of Lee/Leigh. I do love cheesecake though! :p

I have seen Juno, and I thought the same thing when I saw that line on my ticker :)

My middle name is Leigh, so I think it's AWESOME as a girl's middle name.

That said... I'm not sure I'm any help with the first name... :p Sorry!

Look at your siggie-

Morgan Lee ;) Riley is a nice name, but I thing Riley Lee would be too much.
Morgan is actually on my list as well. But yeah, the lee-lee thing is what's keeping a few names from being too seriously considered. I haven't completely ruled them out because it's not too often the middle name will be used, but I'm pretty unlikely to pick anything like that. So far the names that have stuck out most are Emily (which is problematic because of the lee-lee thing), and Sarah (which is problematic because I can imagine all the teasing).

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

I really like Fran's idea and Morgan Lee.
Morgan is my middle name, after the Morgan horse (dad has a thing for horses lol) but I love the name Morgan, not just for my middle name, but I've always been fond of the name.

Well, I have a cousin named Alison and her sister Melanie. :D

Does Lee/Leigh have to be the middle name? There's always Lee Anne/Leigh Anne.

Or you could just name her Staci. I won't mind. :D. Lol

I think Makenna (or McKenna if you prefer) Lee is a cute name! If I had stuck with the M theme, Shaylynn probably would have been Makenna. Or I like the name Caroline.

Avis Leigh?

as a girl's name is pronounced AY-viss. It is of Old German origin. From a Norman French form of the Old German name Aveza, derived from a short form of names with "av". The Latin "avis" means "bird"

I love Riley (plan to name one of my kids Rylie) but Riley Leigh doesn't really work.

What about Anna? Anna Leigh. Like Annaleigh.

Or Isabelle Isabelle Leigh is cool.
