How about Pyxis? (Pix for short) It's pronounced Pix-is I believe.. It's a constellation! A very pretty one :)

and her registered name could be Superstar! lol

I'm loving Pyxis and Whim. I think Whim is so feminine and pretty (suits her!) and I like how it ties in to your story :)

I like Whim too. On a whim. Nice and short.

Does this mean we'll see you in conformation class in the new year? If you're on the way you can get a ride too. ;)

Or just Pixie.

I have a whole list of Aussie names but I can't share or else Nextdog has no name. I have so many more boy names than girl names.

Thanks, guys! Right now I think we're still thinking about the two names I chose, and Whim is also on the list now. I like Kismet too, but it's become very popular here lately as well. My mom doesn't like Pip at all - says it's too short somehow.

No registered name ideas yet?

I'm thinking I kind of want to go with a short phrase meaning "meant to be" or something that has to do with new experiences because she really will be my real intro into the world of dog sports and I have big dreams for her.

Or a short phrase that describes her happy, sassy personality.

I wish there was a poet in the family haha. This is so hard! I want a really good registered name.

That one is interesting! I do like it. Thanks for sharing it. :)

I feel like I'd probably just call her Pixie all the time though and I don't care for that name. And my brother just said it sounds like I can't pronounce Pegasus so he doesn't like it. :-(

I like Pyxis too! And Whim.

If you name her River everyone's going to think you are really into riverdance. ;)
Haha omg I never thought of that at all! My dad would be thrilled though if I called her River. He loves Riverdance and would probably think that was exactly what I was going for. :rofl1:

I dunno, I was planning on starting with Larry Clark's "Intro to dog shows" on the advice of a friend who took his classes with her Rottie and went from hating showing to sort of liking it.

What about Twist of Fate for a registered name? Figure it works for the whole Koolie/Aussie switch.

Twist of fate would be such a cool name!

I mean.. if I didn't have epilepsy which led me to looking at service dogs which led me to look at golden retrievers which led me to looking at trainers who then recommended herding breeds which then led me to look at border collies only to join BC board and run away deciding the breed was too intense for my needs which then led me to looking at aussies which led me to looking at breeders and breeders and breeders only to start looking at canadian breeders through a TOTAL just "well..might as well give canada a shot" which led me to look up canadian natural rearing breeders which led me to oracle..which led me to email her about adult dogs only to find out she didn't have any adults that suited me which led to us talking about her next litter and how perfect it would be which led to me posting a thread about it which led to Hustle waiting 5 months past when she was supposed to to come into heat which led to her being bred, having the puppies and me posting EVERY PICTURE on chaz which led to you seeing these adorable puppies and contacting the breeder
WHICH LED TO NINA! LOL
