Naw, haven't noticed a divide, just a lot of new faces (sort of, I mean... I know them all BUT...)
The n00bs aren't TOO bad.
It's natural for a forum to change. Some people that were here when I first joined don't post as much as they used to, but there are new people posting in their place. (Sometimes more... coughcough) That's the way it is on any forum- people leave and come back, etc.
The group here is still as much fun as the oldies.

I am new to chaz and didnt expect to be part of the SS. but when chewbecca had hers for the newb well it made me feel apart of this forum, made me feel good. I dont post alot and sometimes well most of the time I just dont always know what to say but I am on everyday for what seems like hours. for the most part I felt very welcomed and the only time I didnt was with the secret santa nobody said I couldnt join, thats just how I felt.

I haven't really noticed a divide here, but I'm also not exactly an old-folk here. I guess I just sort of expect that people will come and go, and that many will end up coming back.
Honestly - I've tried to leave lately. There have been some threads that I have found very upsetting on a personal level, and that make me want to leave just to avoid certain posters. But there are enough wondeful people here that I can never stay away for more than a day.

I don't know about in two, but there is a divide going on because of all the ridiculous posturing and bickering. It needs to stop, like last week. It's going nowhere, accomplishing nothing but making a lot of people look like hyped second graders on the playground. Duke it out on the field where people can judge for themselves.
I don't really notice a split, other than the silly Secret Santa thing. I don't really pay attention to post count though, or how long someone's been here, as long as they're a member here, they're on Chaz. I really don't care whether they've been here 5 minutes or 5 years. I think the whole "Newbie/Veteran" thing is kind of immature really.
Yeah I had over 10,000 posts a month ago. I am much lighter now. lol.
Not to defend or anything at all, but I suspect the Secret Santa cut off was due to the fact that new people join and then disappear very easily, leaving someone who just sent out a gift without a secret santa to send them a gift, which as you can imagine, could result in insanity.

hey chewbecca.... a great way to get your post counts up would be to post lots and lots of pics
