I keep corn snakes and recently began a breeding program. I'm pretty passionate about them. I have nine corn snakes. As pets, they are generally have very mellow temperaments, are easy to handle, and hardy eaters. They do require a bit of startup investment in order to have a proper habitat setup, but their living/feeding costs once they are established are very reasonable. Also, they are available in a bunch colors and patterns.
^^ Of course, this is the short short SHORT summary version about their care, but I have the capacity to write a book if I don't limit myself. LOL
Sadly, I don't have any recent photos uploaded anywhere handy, but I do have a few threads already posted here on the forum (listed starting with the most recent):

Again, these photos are all seriously old. I'm really embarrassed that I don't have anything newer to share. I will try to update with a new thread of pictures in the next couple weeks.
I also have a Mexican Black Kingsnake. Their habitat and feeding requirements are very similar to corns, as has been stated. I will say that their temperaments are very different. I wouldn't say they are aggressive, but they are far more prone to be naughty.
My MBK has been known to throw a temper tantrum when you try to get him out of his viv, but once he's out and being handled he's a doll.
Okay, I have recently discovered Pied Sided Corn Snakes! I want one.
Anyone know of any good snake breeders in Canada, or know if you can ship them from the states to Canada? And any idea how much that would cost.
While I can't come up with who/where they are off the top my head, I belong to a corn snake community that does have a couple Canadian breeders. I will get back to you as soon as I can track them down.
As for shipping, I don't know what it would be to ship from the US to Canada, and to be honest, I'm not 100% certain whether that is legal. I'll have to look it up. Anyway, within the US, I can say that it's typically in the ballpark of $50-60 USD for shipping through FedEx (which is the only certified reptile shipping option available at the moment).
Hope that helps!
