Did Not know this about a Dobe

I prefer the cropped look also, and if it weren't for the expense I would have done it on my male, my female we rescued when she was 3 years or so old, so it wasn't even an option. My next Dobe will be cropped and docked. I just enjoy my dogs, it really doesn't matter to me one way or another.

Did Not know this about a Dobe

Doberkim, if you look at the second picture, his ears are closer to your "ideal pose" than the first picture, which is normally how he keeps them. His look odd in the first picture, because, when I took the picture, he had his head down, and I whistled for him, so he had a startled look.

Did Not know this about a Dobe

He's 2 years old, I've got all his paperwork, but I'm not very knowledgeable on how to enterprit it all. I have a certified pedigree from AKC on him. However my breeder put a limited registration on him, so that no one compete's with her breeding service. She has stock from all over the US and...

Did Not know this about a Dobe

Cropping or uncropping really depends on the bloodlines, my male is fully registered, and has an awesome bloodline, his ears are uncut, and he almost makes them stand up. My female is a rescue shelter dog, and I wish her ears were cut, she didn't come from as nice a background, and she does look...

    My puppy chipped a tooth

He's almost 2, so it's probably permanent. I probably should have made that a little more clear.

    My new girl

She does great with our little dog, see picture above, Ella, barks growls even nips at her and she just keeps walking like she's not even there. Although Ella hasn't been brave enough to get around Abby's food.

    My new girl

I've always thought he was very large for his size and would always guess waay too much. At his last weight in he was right @ 80-85. His chest is SOO thick. He's very large but so was his father. Genetics :D I guessed the last time and was 20lbs to much, but if you pick him up you'd guess...

    Can't get rid of worms!!!

I don't like over medicating my pets either, but I know it has to be painful, having diarhea from having worms. I'm just really worried. Heartworm isobviously a concern but I keep him routinely vaccinated for this, so it's a behind the curtain concern, right now I just want him to feel better...

    Can't get rid of worms!!!

We've been off and on Drontal for my Dobbie's worms(tape, round, hook) , and he still can't shake them, fortunatly we got him immunized before he picked up heart worms or I'm sure he'd get those too. I'm thinking about ordering a supply of Drontal from petmeds.com and just setting him up...
