Me and some other highly prestiged members were talking and realized we have no idea who's the head of this forum. Can anyone shed light on the owner?

Yes please!

I know MT isn't the owner anymore and for awhile it seemed like it was in limbo but now I seriously have no idea who owns it.

Last I checked, some suits who are using the main website (without the /forums) for marketing and such, but keep the forum open. Back when we had some serious forum issues I helped try and contact them, because they had been working with me on some design work.

They seem to listen when we need things done though, so that's a thing. In return, we provide them scores of Google traffic. :p

Allie, do you think if the forum as a whole got a list of requests figured out and sent it to them they would be open?

Things like maybe some new/active mods, quick reply back etc.

I like that quick reply is gone. Cuts down on the drama ;)

I'm in contact with the admins frequently. I'll ask about the quick reply again. It's an anti-spam device, but we sort of have that handled by auto-moderating all new users, so it may be redundant.

What a ridiculous question, I can't believe you would ask that. Who are these highly "prestiged" members? Define prestiged please, I don't think it means what you think it means. Shed some light on the owner?...how dare you. Pfft.

I think the questions and lack of quick reply are made redundant by the ten post rule. It cuts down on drama but slows to forum to a crawl. If there's a problem with moderating, couldn't there be more mods made?

Lack of quick reply may have cut down on drama, but it also cut down on people talking on Chaz at all.

This.

Part of the reason why I don't post here as often is because of the questions. It's a pain in the butt to do.

I don't even mimd the questions so much - they're easy and take all of two seconds to do before you start typing, and I'm even on my phone most of the time. I *do* miss the quick reply, though. A lot.

ossibly? It might have been asked already. :(

Look, I will try to start some drama for you guys you clean up. Cesar Milan thread? Raw feeding thread? A poll on what users should be banned? What do we need? You tell me, and I'll take care of it. Nolu to the rescue. ;)

This. The questions bug me a lot and cut down on phone and computer posting. If we just brought QR back, we would eliminate those questions and encourage more posting (when you've answered them enough times that your browser remembers them all, you're probably not a bot).

Preach it.

it may be easier to moderate but it's so much more difficult to even have a discussion.

Plus both losing the QR and questions thing are unnecessary completely. New members are moderated for the first 10 posts anyhow.

Bring them back pretty please powers that be! If they want to keep chaz as being such a google hotspot and keep it busy, there needs to be an easier way.

I don't really mind the questions too much, but quick reply was awesome. Esp. if I'm surfing on my phone and not using tapatalk... I think I may be the only person who doesn't like tapatalk. at all. :p

I don't. My phone hated it and would explode if I tried to use it. So I don't.

Lol, you can set your watch by these threads popping up.

I don't think the forum is quiet because of the quick reply etc. It's quiet because Facebook. And a lot of the regular posters have gone walkies. And there aren't as many people coming up to take their places.

I notice people post questions and photos on Facebook but don't here.

People don't post as often as life moves on.... And there needs to be chatty newbies to take up the slack.

But if the newbies find it a pain to chat because there's no quick reply...
And yeah you can find these threads a lot because members are asking for change and getting vague answers.
