the size of the tag itself isn't something I care about, but the stamping might not be the easiest to read for a lot of folks.
For me, the tag just wouldn't show through his fur. My worry was that many people probably aren't in a hurry to grab a Chow that is running around, let alone fish around looking for a tiny tag, lol. He wears a FT skinny tag, which is long enough that it clearly shows through all of the hair :)

I have some from the mad stampers as well and they are nice, I even had them make me keychain a for everyone at the hotel I worked at lol.

I absolutely LOVE my odd dog ones! They are by far the best ones I have and he is fantastic to deal with as well https://www.etsy.com/shop/oDDDogcreations

This is Gages, but they each have one with different Star Trek insignia on them.

Holy cow those are awesome. I've been oogling the skull and crossbones for an hour trying to convince myself that Corvus wouldn't rip the bones off somehow. I like the plain skull too. And the octopus. And the turtle. LOL.

I love my MDM triple layer tag! There was issues a year ago, but realize that the owner was going through some personal issues and was trying to juggle the business all by herself. She should have posted hiatus earlier than she did, that is when things went weird. However, she has been on break and from what I understand, is no longer trying to do everything by herself.

I don't think they could brake them off honestly, I was concerned with the Star Trek symbols that are attached to these tags and I haven't even found so much as a piece of fur in between the layers they are attached very well!

I love the turtle tag, and the smiley face, I so want that smiley face for Gage.

I've read a lot of questionable things about them on facebook and such. Saw lots of complaints about getting tags really late. But I have no personal experience with them. I'm sure the quality is good.

I just feel like you cannot beat Fetching Tags quality. I've never had another tag SO durable. They're honestly worth the price IMO. I hesitated for a long time on FT because of the money and ended up wasting $$$ on cheaper tags from Etsy and they just wore off too fast and I was never as happy with them.

My one complaint about FT is they can't fit long phrases on them unless you got bigger tags, and I don't like when Jackson's tags are TOO big/dangly.

The only etsy tag I've been happy with is from here:

I find fetching tags...boring, I like the layered metals and different colours that odd dog and mad stampers uses.
This is why I got my last set of tags from Fetch A Passion. They were surprisingly durable for how thin and light they were and come in some really beautiful colors.

I agree 100%. MDM owner seems to have a lot better grasp of her business now and I am pretty sure she's got help now instead of doing it all on her own.

Also, SARA! I never put two and two together that this was you until just now!

I find FTs and similar styles kind plain to look at. I like pretty tags that are simple and durable. My favorite tags by far are Doggone Tags (etsy). Nola's had hers more than a year, has worn it everyday for that period, worn it hiking, traveling, swimming (in salt water) and it's still looks great.
Day I got it:

Now:

There's a filter on that picture, but you can see it's held up well.

I am a little biased as I babysit for the Fetching Tags dogs but I adore the tags and that company. Not only does Jen heavily support rescue, every tag she has is made incredibly well and has a lifetime warranty. Expensive, yes, but when they last a lifetime...

No personal experience with MDM. I've heard some people rave about them and some people rant about them. I get the impression that maybe the owner is someone who has not always had her sh*t together but is trying to gather it.

One thing I really like about Fetching Tags is they are very light for their size, and very durable. Because they are so light I especially like them for when we are on vacation, which is one of the few times I keep all their tags on their collars anymore.

I have ordered a number of tags off Etsy and have been happy with them all:

I like this place because I can get TINY tags. Day to day I rarely have dangly tags on a harness or collar (I mostly use Boomerang collar tags) and when I do I want something small and unobtrusive. The tags came wicked fast and so far are holding up well.

I have also been happy with this place; again the tags came super fast and are holding up well.

I ordered several from a shop that doesn't seem to exist anymore, called The Happy Chihuahua. Theirs are really cute, that's too bad.

I rarely post around here anyways, sooo :p

I ordered another tag for the Rave from MDM, will post about it when it arrives!

I want one for me, and two for Indy from MDM.

Thanks guys :p

I find I prefer the beaten metal look vs the Fetching Tags look myself.

Got mine today! I'm impressed with how light it is. Going to dock dogs this weekend-- curious to see if it turns his white chest grey when it gets wet.
