Tears of happiness are streaming down my face. I'm so happy that Ophelia has come into your life. I just know Ella knew the best thing for her family would be a pup to give all the love you still have to give. She's a beauty.

I needed an emotional boost, and went back and looked at the pics again :) You know, I almost think something clicked with her when she got her new collar -- there's a little extra calmness in her expression, a settledness -- oh, there's really not a word for it exactly, but you know what I mean :D

She is just gorgeous and has that look in her eyes that means something extra special. Lovely collar as well!

Aw, thanks, guys!!!

She's snuggling with Ben in bed right now.

Oh, the collar, well...she came home with this...kind of nasty, thin nylon collar and a choke collar.
Which is fine, as I don't expect a shelter/kenneled dog to be decked out in the finest of fine collars.
But when we bathed her, it was like, we couldn't just put that dirty collar back on her.

And I knew we were going to make her one anyway, but I had decided to use the green stones because I believe that green is the canine cancer color.
I *think* it is, anyway.

I'm still smiling !! I feel that Chip is giving Ella high fives !! I let Ollie use Chip's toys . Oddly he has no interest in his favorite ~~a plush birthday cake with candles . It's like
Chip said " don't touch that one " . I have to remove it from the toy box when Hunter and Maggie are here as he won't let them touch it either

When mary and I lost Bronki we were two mothers without our baby boy to love. Mary had slunk to the floor with all her life force ebbing out of her. THere was no waiting. Victor didn't give us time to grieve. His constant energy and funny antics filled us up, kept us busy, very very busy, and returned us to a world of joy. IT was the right thing to do for Mary, it was the right thing to do for me. And getting Ophie was the right thing for all of your family and especially for her. I just keep looking at her eyes and it makes me feel warm all over. I think Mary's got a little blessing on there too with that dark beautiful outline to showcase the windows of Ophie's soul.

All these posts really mean a lot to us. Ophelia is resting on Rebecca's shorts laying on the bed. Rebecca was finishing up a collar for a customer today and Ophie layed right in the pile of dirty "whites" next to the table and washing machine. Getting use to our scent (or stink, lol). Ella use to rub herself on the dirty wet face clothes all the time. Silly dogs.

Thankfully that beast tornado missed the vet clinic. We were worried about the boarded dogs and cats. I imagine our Doc was down there at midnight last night. He's pretty dedicated. Ella's remains are still there waiting securely for the Tuesday pick-up. So that bothered us a bit. My dad drove by, though, and assured us everything looked good.

Everyone is right about Ophie's eyes. They are very soulful.

I plan on making some kind of wall hanging framed job that will hold Ella's Orbeez, collars, and stuff. For now, they are safely tucked in big 50 gallon rubbermaid and few smaller containers. I also still need to archive all those photos.

Prepare for tons of Ophie pics, plus her own blend of Ella-speak. Rebecca has the camera out and waiting for any chance.

What a wonderful girl!
I'm so glad you accepted the gift of that lovely girl, some homes are too special to be without a dog:)

Oh, she looks wonderful!! I am so happy for you and Ben, and for little Ophelia. She couldn't ask for a better home.

I was a mess when I lost Tango, and I had other dogs at home. I can't imagine what I'd have been like if I was dogless. Dance kept me busy and took my mind off of things periodically, and I was very grateful to have had her in my life at that point. Losing a dog and then coming home to no dogs... I don't know that I could do it.

Thank you everyone!!!

This little one has me going, going, going!!!

She's found Finn (pet mouse) in my office. I keep Finn's cage in my office, and Ophie just found him this morning.

She started playing bowing to him.
D'oh!

I NEED serious play dates for this girl!

Ben is letting her sleep on his tempur pedic pillow in the office.
Spoiled puppy.

I have more pics when I have a moment to upload them.:D
