Laur... if they all looked like Preston they would bump to my top 10 list of small dogs.

Is "puggle" the name for a baby echidna or something? I did a google image search for "puggle" and it keeps bringing back echidna pictures.

You gotta admit, this is adorable.

That is adorable... but we've already determined that Preston is a good looking dog... and not just "in comparison" but as a whole. The problem is that the puggles many of us seem to see all the time look nothing like Preston.

Maybe when/if the breed turns into an actual breed and continues to advance, they will have a more SETTLED breed standard.

because right now it seems.. thats its really the luck of the draw. you get a cute one or you get one that..er.. different :)

from my experience, the majority are cute. but from what ive seen on this thread obviously thats not always the case! lol

Oh apparently they are platypuses (platypi?) A baby platypus is called a puggle, hehe.

Anyway, yes, most of the puggles I've seen have been pretty darn cute. I'm not a fan when they get underbites, but then, I don't like underbites in any dog breed.

Yeah some are not very cute, but I could say that about any breed/mix. I haven't seen an ugly one in person yet though.

Oh, and I didn't realize that was the same dog, lol.

Some are cuter than others (some in this thread are adorable, I will admit), but if you really look at them, the ones that everyone thinks are the cutest look like fawn/black Beagles.

I've yet to meet a good looking one. They all look cobbled together by some drunk mad scientist, have horrid temperaments and just...aren't good.

Also, I have always wondered what the first person who thought this up was thinking. I guess the hot weather thing makes a little sense, but in general if you take two breeds of dogs that are known for shedding like crazy, being food obsessed, and being very stubborn in addition to notoriously hard to housebreak; what do you suppose you are going to get? I say this and I like both breeds, but I would think if you were crossbreeding you would want to try to improve some of this stuff.
