Yes, most that ive met have been really cute. As Laur said, they look like little mastiffs.

One of Romeos best friends is a puggle. but he can outrun him and has so much energy! lol

I like puggles.. I like them better than both pugs and beagles. Of course, there are individual dogs that are pugs/beagles that I like, but as a whole, I prefer the look puggles.

I like their overall look but most of all I like that they have the cute wrinkles but their heads/faces are normal, no breathing problems and they fair much better in the heat and with lots of activity.

so ya lol im a fan of the puggle

I've met some puggles with good personalities and temperaments... but I think they are VERY unattractive dogs. Most have strange little blunt muzzles and underbites, and wall eyes. I still have no idea why people thought it was a great ides to "design" pug/beagles.

ETA Fran, that one is great!

Ok

http://www.321dogs.com/pictures/puggle_wallpaper.jpg (Edited because pic was too big)
Also decent

Not really.

(Images are not mine. If you want to see the image source, drag the image into your browser url box. Is that acceptable lol?)

Yeah, not really my thing but if they have the right colors, no creases around the snout, a well proportioned snout (I don't like it when the snout looks like a little box on a big round head), no high bugling forehead and a less-abrupt stop... they are permissible LOL.

But not my thing, no.

Fran I have never seen one that looks like that. Even the nicest of ones I have met don't look as nice as the ones Xandra posted. (not talking temperaments) Most look like they were made from spare parts.

Wow, I really do fail at life.... I actually ment to choose No. :rofl1:

I wish I should just go back to bed.... I knew when I woke up after a horrible night's sleep and it was raining, that it was going to be a bad day.

ETA:

The puggle fran posted is very very cute! The ones I normally see have this muzzle that's just..... wrong.... idk, it's like a duck's bill or something...

Then again, the ones I see all live in Miami. They are VERY popular and people are really specific about breeding them. The few "breeders" ive met on the beach are REALLY nit picky about their puggles.. its a huge deal lol and they take it very seriously

People love pugs, but its too **** hot there to have one soo I guess thats why these "puggle breeders" have popped up. you will occasionally see a couple of puggles in a petstore at the beach but its RARE because people want to see the parents, pictures of offspring etc.. lol because as you can see from the above post, mixing the wrong pug and beagle can end in disaster.

they are pricey, more so than most purebreds down there. so people want their moneys worth.

and ya, there are "Famous" breeder puggles/lines that have waiting lists. To go a "dior" puggle for example (yes, the guy who breeds them changed his last name to dior.. I have met him) it will cost you $2000 and there is a 1 year waiting list on average. He does health test etc..etc.. but still, most of it is because his puggles LOOK GOOD and well, its in the name. His slogan "Its not just any puggle..."

i think the one Xandra listed as not really is better looking than the one she called descent. so it's a very subjective thing & since it's based on looks (barring anything that impairs normal function) there is no right or wrong.

well the thread was called do you find them cute.. so of course its subjective.

Fran.. there are loads of people breeding them here, and for more than 2000, thats with no health testing. People don't care for the most part.

And if someone is taking it seriously enough to change their last name, why not try to start a new breed and actually give it a name etc?

lol maybe he changed his last name for other reasons... there are some strange people out there

I tried to find a website that has puggles that consistently look like the one Fran posted but no luck. Because as far as I'm concerned, that is actually a nice looking dog... not just decent compared to the rest of the breed.

HAHA! I was actually just doing the same because I have never seen a puggle that looks like that! He is a stunning looking dog! But again, I've never seen that type of puggle in person. I even tried googling "dior puggle" but got nothing...

I have no idea honestly.. he just loves puggles. kind of obsessed with them really

I mean, compared to most puggle breeders, I do think of him as a "good" one.
He health tests, his dogs are exceptionally well cared for, he screens homes like you wouldn't believe, spay/neutered before going to their homes...
Altho..Would I ever buy one? Heck no. lol

Whoa! Hello red flag!
lol I didnt say he was good. I said he was good in comparison with his "competitors"
I dont agree with it. but I guess its just so people don't breed his dogs and "steal his lines". I think its better than sending them off and people breeding even MORE of them..and believe me, people would. Same thing that people do in cities with pet store matlese/yorkies.
and they would slap the word "Dior lines" on them and sell them for $$

I really wish I could say I understood. lol but as I said,I certainly would never buy one

All the puggles I've met have been adorable. We got several through the shelter and I'll admit, I'd have snatched them up in an instant.

And this one:

I love the one Fran posted and that one is pretty cute too. I understand people not liking designer dogs, but I don't get the thought that they're hideous dogs. My neighbor has one I'd steal. Sooo happy and cheery and he looks JUST like a little mastiff.

Yes, I secretly like puggles.
