Scientific studies have shown that humans are incapable of digesting metal doilies.

Trolls however have completely different intestines, pancreas, teeth, etc. and while they will suffer all sorts of ill effects from eating cake, metal doilies make up a large portion of their diet in the wild.

lies.

Trolls cannot break down the metal in the lacy parts. Trolls decended from Ogres and we know that Ogres can't digest metal. Thats why they have such a short intestine. Do you have any source I wont read I know Iam right about this....

Trolls are not descended from Ogres.

I do not need any source. I say it, that makes it right.

I am not a college student or a biologist or even a high school student. I cannot and will not open up a wolf and a dog for comparison.
Then find a biologist or zoologist and talk to them. I have talked to several of each. Maybe you can get the info on Google or Yahoo or Bing.

If it has been done and documented, share your source so that we can all see the findings.
Necropsies are done on dogs every day and on wolves quite often. My source is talking to biologists and zoologists. Sorry I didn't record them for you. :) Your vet could probably help you. My vet majored in wildlife biology before going to vet school.

Nowhere did I say it took years of painstaking research. I did say it took science. Cutting open an animal is done by doctors, biologists and psychotics. I am none of the above. It's really not comparable to gravity, and I find your "rofl" to be quite arrogant.
Well thats certainly the first time anyone has said that about me! :)

more lies.

Goblins thrive on metal...but Ogres do not. These long accepted and flawed studies prove that trolls are mearly watered down versions of Ogres. They are pack animals with a rigid dominance heirarchy and they don't digest metal...this thread is proof...its trying to dominate us.

Trolls in captivity (aka stuck on a forum thread) do not behave the same way that trolls in the wild do. Why do you think they live under old bridges? It's because those bridges are an ideal source of metal.

At least this thread is keeping me entertained!:rofl1:

I know RawFeddogs too well to even bother. He has a record and it seems like he's trying to continue it on Chaz. He may even beat Mike/Crush for arrogance!

old bridges are wooden... so your point is moot. Captive trolls, i'll have you know, despite hundreds or thousands of years of domestication...remain unchanged from their Ogre forebearers. I have a wikipedia link to prove it but I wont bother posting it.

AWESOME POST BABYDANE!

That is all we are trying to say here :D RAW diets are great! Exclusive raw meat & bone or PMR are ALSO great if that's what works for YOUR dog and what you are comfortable with!

I add those veggies because 1.) it doesn't hurt them in anyway I've ever seen. And 2.) It has POTENTIAL for fighting cancers and improving other things. No harm + Potential benefit? WIN/WIN That's good enough for me :D

We can ALL agree we love dogs, we especially love OUR OWN dogs and if we didn't want the best for them we wouldn't even be here discussing any of this, LOL
Thanks! See...I've figured out how to communicate ;)

Note to self : Add feeding raw to politics and religion for subjects not to debate .
I really think it should...because people are just so passionate about their dogs. But this can be said for training, vaccinations, breeding, showing, cropping, etc, etc...As long as we all stay polite and try to the best of our abilities to bring a good conversation to the boards then I think that all of these subjects are up for discussion.

And to be quite honest I think that this thread, although has had its down spots, been a pretty good debate. And at the very least it is very entertaining to see what people's personalities are!

RFD I'd looove to see photos of your dogs. That should be the ultimate proof of your "meat is god" agenda...if I remember correctly from last time I saw them they were overwieght and looked like an average dog (coat wise) I think you should prove me wrong.
If you thought that the dogs on the website posted like 20 pages back in this thread are his, they're not. He has Great Danes :D

And I agree, I would love to see more pictures of them...actually haven't seen too many of them for as long as I have known him on the internet

Photographic evidence indicates that we are both wrong about the material the bridges are made of.

However, it is quite obvious that he has caught something metal on his fishing pole and is quite eager to eat it.

This is true...but there is nothing wrong with a good debate once in a while! I think this thread has brought some really good things to the table, well and some not so good, but an outsider coming in to read this will see pretty much every aspect of the pros and cons to a raw diet.

Hmmmmm, I thought he had a variety of breeds. It's what he has listed online

Sadie- Collie Mix
Rusty- Collie
Connor- Collie
Czar- German Shepherd
Sharrah-Collie
Harley-Collie
Nakaya-Siberian Husky
Morgan-Siberian Husky/German Shepherd Mix
Máire-Collie

And there ARE pictures of dogs with those names and breeds on his site under "My photo album" not talking about the "fellow raw feeders" I didn't see any Danes there or elsewhere though????

Yes, pictures of these Danes would be NICE :D

Crio, I'll answer your question.

If your dog is getting sick off of one protein source, try another. Many dogs have developed an intolerance to chicken, for whatever reason. Also, detox can be pretty nasty. There's not a single form of detox, be allergy-related, GI cleanse, alcohol or drug, that is "pretty". I'm trying to find where I hid this link again, but it was from a Great Dane breeder (sheer coincidence, I promise you). She feeds a raw diet (not sure if it's PMR or BARF or whatever) and she said that when she first switched her dogs, it was horrific. Their skin got all nasty, the coats went to hell and they had off and on diarrhea. But once the detox period was over, about a month for it all to totally subside IIRC, then she saw the gleaming coats and amazing muscle tone that most people get on a raw diet. So sometimes it does seem like a horrible thing to switch the dogs over, but once they get over that rough patch, it's all good. The skin is the largest organ in the body, so when a full-body detox is going on, the body will use it's largest organ to help purge the toxins, so in this case, it's the skin.

Heck, I wondered if I was doing the right thing this spring when switching Sawyer grain-free/EVO there for a bit...had a week of runny, watery stools and a ridiculous amount of shedding. I added some *gasp* pumpkin and yogurt to his food, washed his pants out three times a day and brushed him till I thought he should be bald. Then everything evened out and it's all been good from there. I did switch away from the reg. EVO though, he was leaving urine burns in the lawn and those did go away when I put him on Nature's Variety INSTINCT.

THANK YOU :)

I did have raw feeders tell me to stick with it and detox was normal...and I did try other sources, but had the same results. My husband was also not on board and basically put his foot down after Kiwis $300 vet visit because she was so ill.

I guess the point I was trying to make, that everyone else is, is that its not for everyone :) :)
