Yep bout the same.

Papillons- yes, although lately i'm toying with Mia being my last for a while. I dunno if I could ever do that though. I adore papillons regardless of their size. They are just so fun, happy, ready and willing to do whatever I want. They are the BEST dogs. Just such good dogs. But it would make getting some other breeds a bit easier not to have to worry about a toy dog around. But I will definitely have more. Luckily I have a while to think through it all. I really think I would be heartbroken without one though.

Shelties- possibly/probably. I think there's a very good chance I will have another but I can't say for certain. I will be very picky though.

I love my english shepherd. Absolutely love him. Tons of energy to go do stuff, but a good off switch to hang out in the house on busy days.

Plus, most of the people involved in the breed are great.

Collie, I like the idea of it but I highly doubt it, honestly. Maybe one day when I'm older. They are such great dogs and definitely have a piece of my heart.

Shelties, I certainly hope so LOL. #4 will hopefully join us in about two years.

Payton baby? I get one right? :p

Mia's the 7th papillon I've lived with. I figure I'm pretty much screwed by now to ever get rid of the little buggers.

Springers: Possibly.

BC/BC mix: Yes. Definitely planning on it.

Lab/Lab mix: Probably not. Rick may want one at some point, but they're not my breed. Em's just special.

American Foxhounds: Possibly. I love Copper a ton, but I think I may dabble in other hounds before going back to a Foxie. Rick loves Beagles, so.

Anatolian Shepherds: Yes. A thousand times yes.

Pitties: Definitely.

It's been a long time since my answer, and since then it's become very obvious Fable is not purebred GSD. Being around 20 lbs. is a bit of a hint. ;)
I think she might be a coydog, to be honest, and I definitely still stand by the fact she's like no dog I've ever had! I plan on doing a genotype when I can.
Anyway, if she really is a coydog, would I have another? Not on purpose. She is a lot to handle, very challenging, and to boot it scares me when the coyotes start howling and I think it's Fable in some sort of trouble. It gets me all the time. She's also pretty fabulous, though.

I definitely still want another chihuahua, and I'm a little less paranoid than I was about having a toy dog in a rural area.

I forgot to list past dog breeds last time.

Rotties- Absolutely yes!
JRTs- No. Awesome little dogs, but I doubt I'd have one again.

I would have to say YES. Seens how Ivan is my 3rd. I will always have a spotty monster in my life. Would I want another like Ivan????????????? Ahhhhhhhhhh no. But I don't think that is really possible. Ivan is well Ivan. And heaven help the world if there are more out there like him. LOL

I will absolutely own more pitties. I will most likely own more GSDs...

Border Collies are iffy. I may or may not, depending on the timing and the lines.

Greyhounds- yes always
Dogos- yes
Frenchies- maybe when I'm older, but probably not right now as I think Rocky is more the exception to their athletic abilities and most would not enjoy hiking as many miles as we do a week, especially living in FL
Bostons- again maybe later on, but not right now. One is enough. They are like the energizer bunny that never stops!
Pit bulls- maybe- prefer to foster. Enjoy the breed, but they aren't suited well enough to me to want to have one forever
Doberman- yes, will have one again- just waiting for the right one to come along
JRT- yes.

Other past breeds:

Great Dane- NO
Lab- NO
GSD- NO
Chihuahua- NO
English Mastiff- NO
Bullmastiff- maybe depends on the individual dog
Dachshund- NO
Min Pin- maybe if I found the right one
Italian Greyhound- maybe
Afghan Hound- NO
American Eskimo- maybe

This is hard for me to answer, but an interesting topic. It is wonderful to read everyone's opinion on certain breeds.

I wouldn't own another GSD. Casey is good, but I'm not a GSD person. I'm trying to say this without offending, but I have met probably 100 unstable GSDs. Casey herself was reactive when she was younger. Lots of health issues as well..

Ritzy kind of fell in my lap. I'm not opinionated on the Toy Fox Terrier thing, but she is a nice dog. If I decided I wanted a small dog again, it would likely be one of those nasty little chihuahuas hiding in the back of a kennel in a shelter. Ritzy definitely yaps and does the yapping run when she gets excited...not overly thrilled about that.

I don't know about another Pointer. It would have to be a special dog, from a rescue-type situation.

I will absolutely have more ACDs, actually I'm trying to decide if I want another ACD right now. I don't think I would be without one, but one might be just enough.

That said, I would keep all my current dogs for life if I could.
I've been on this forum a year? Holy crap.

Well...this still rings true.

Fun, I don't think I was around when this was posted the first time.

Collie - Probably. I don't know if I'll get another anytime soon, but they are wonderful dogs and hold a very special place in my heart.

Longhaired whippet - Definitely. Forever and always, if I can help it.

Lab mix: Maybe a purebred Labrador

Pit Bull: On the fence

Chow: Maybe

There are too many breeds I want to experience first before I start owning the same ones again.

Absolutely, without question. More Cardigans and more Malinois.

I cannot fathom not having a Malinois or another Belgian Shepherd variety right now. Cardigans are less universally suited to me, but the right Cardigan is great.

Oh, and more Macky's if they were a breed. Since they're not, I'd opt for an Ollie, and I will, someday. Definitely want a field-bred Cocker, at least one.

Finkies? YES! I adore this breed. Can't see myself not owning at least a couple at any given time.

GSD (though T was never mine, he still was here for a few months) is a maybe. I really loved that dog, and I think it could be fun to raise a young GSD pup one day. I would just have to do lots more research about lines and breeders.

Uhhhh that's all I got :p

Haven't really had a lot of experience owning different breeds, but....

Malamute - would consider an adult rescue so I knew the temperament beforehand, but puppy...no.

Labrador - YES, in a heartbeat, if it was the right "type" of Lab

A farm collie type dog (like Chloe?) - yes, I think I would

Dachshund - no. Gracie's a great dog, but she can't do the things physically that I like my dogs to be able to do

Yorkie - no. Cooper is just...not my kind of dog.

A Cynder? - YES. Would so not mind getting a field-bred English Cocker when she is gone. Would love it even more if she were an actual breed.

Oh and I'd own generic mutts again, too, for sure.

Only if Ryan gets his way :p
That was about another corgi. The answer now is no. I would really really try and talk Ryan out of one moving forward.

JRT? Uh, DUH! Though I'd really like to try a larger terrier next time around. Unless Lynn has a perfectly timed litter, another JRT from her would be darn hard to pass up :p

Oh absolutely. Juno is my 2nd boxer - wouldn't have her in the first place if there was any other answer to that question!

A small floofy Lucy-type lap dog? Ahhh maybe in the far future.
Yep, sticking with this. My life needs a boxer in it.

And when I said "far future" in reference to a Lucy-type dog... I meant when I'm like, 100 years old. :rofl1: She's a sweet dog but there are lots of sweet dogs, not much else about her makes me think I want another.

I want another Happy. Collie-ish type thing?
