The thread of would you die for your dog got me thinking.
Would you die for your spouse/partner. Obviously this is easier if you don't have kids.
Personally, as much as I love him, I would not die for my boyfriend. We have only been seeing each other for 3 months and it seems a little drastic. LOL

I'm single right now but if I had a partner that I truly loved then yes I would willingly die for him.

I'm not so sure it's as black and white as all that really........ For example, i'd willingly give Christian an organ if he needed it, or jump in front of a bullet, but I always worry when people ask this question, that it does seem a little obsessional. I do truely love Christian, and who knows what would happen in the heat of the moment so to speak.

Not black and white. What's worse anyway, dying or living knowing that the person you loved is dead?

I don't know, sometimes letting the other die would be making him/her a favor.

I really doing think saying I would put my life before my husbands is obsessional.

I most definately would and I know he would do the same for me. LOL everytime that comes up I can't help but picture us fighting over who is going to die, like fighting to get in front of the bullet or something. I mean if you are both willing to do it then who wins :O

I have to agree with fran though. Living with out him would be much worse than dying for him.

As you said............easier if you don't have Children.
I would say in a Heartbeat that Yes i would die for my Husband, but then i would be leaving 3 children without a Mother.
So.........I am sorry but i can't vote, b/c i can't vote on both so i can't vote either of them.

Would I die for my husband?

Let me put another spin on this. Would your partner want you to die for him/her? I would die for my husband. But...he is willing to die for me. So who's wishes would you honor? By dying, I save my husband, which is what I would want. But if I let him die, he saves me---which is what he wants.

It's a tough choice.

AGREE 100% about dying for my child. No man is worth dying for IMO! LOL! Maybe I feel like that because I had my heart broke by my daughters father after being together for 12 years. You all that would die for your spouses must be "crazy in love" AWWW :p I was there once ;) and before I had my daughter I would have done anything for him but having a child changes your whole perspective on life and I wouldn't die for anyone but her :D

I would, without a shadow of a doubt, die for Tony. I couldn't live without him. :( I love him to much to let something happen to him if I could prevent it by giving my life. We don't have children yet, so there wouldn't be any to worry about. I know Tony would put his life on the line for me as well. It may sound obsessional, overly emotional, to attached, etc. I see it as undying devotion, loyalty and love. :) If it's possible to die of a broken heart after a loved one dies...I would. He's the love of my life, how could I let him die? *Unless it was his death bed and no way to recover and "letting him go" is what he wanted. I'd still die of a broken heart though.* :( Now I'm sad!

Seeing as I've only been on four dates with the guy who calls himself my boyfriend... No. I wouldn't.

I would, however, die for my close friends and family.
