Ooops, sorry Dobiegurl, didn't see your post....

My point Miss Rottiegirl is that you were constantly repeating yourself, over and over and over again.. bring something new to the table and if you don't have anything new, then let it be. We all have our opinions and it's obvious that they will differ. Respect others and give them the opportunity to respect you.

But they did evolve from wolves. And some genes and traits in wolves are in dogs.
Many, many, many years of breeding has changed domestic dogs to be way different than wolves. And each breed has different characteristics. It just happends to be that dog aggression is a pits characteristic. Other breeds are not dog aggressive because they werent bred to be. There are exceptions.

Well, thats good, lol.
Yeah, I think you scared everyone from taking their pitts ANYWHERE near other dogs and vice cersa. Thats good maybe you can scare the irresposible owners of pitts to not take them to dog parks because of liability issues.

Responsible pitt owners would not take their pitt (most of them) to a dog park because of agression issues. If we can get all the irresponsible owners out of the parks then there would not be a pit bull problem. However, I do not feel they should be banned because one thing leads to another and before you know it their banned for good.

A dogs "potential" has been brought up over and over again also.

Thats true, but all dogs still posess that trait to be dog agressive, its just with pitts the agression is intensified. Also in the AKC rules and standards most breed cannot be deemed vicious if it shows agression toward other dogs. If the agressive trait was not present in other breeds that would not be an issue and that fact would not be included in the breeds standard.

Other breeds that were bred to kill other dogs are dog aggressive, and I dont think its smart to bring those breeds into a dog park either.

Even so, pits are still more dangerous, because their aggression IS intensified.

I agree with you they are more dangerous and I have mentioned before that they shouldn't be in off leash parks, but I just have a really bad feeling that banning them from dog parks will lead to something much greater than that.

Well , I dont think it would lead to BSL, just because dog aggression is way different than human aggression. Human aggression is what BSL is all about.

The gov't doesn't know the difference to them agressive is agressive and they assume since pitts are dog agressive they must be human agressive as well.

Good point, but I think its worse having pits in the dog parks, because people see all the fights caused by the pits, and assume that they are evil dogs. Ruins their reputation. Seen it happen too many times.

Very true, thats where the owners come in and have to make their pitts be the best they can and not expose them to certain situations that may result in devestation and may ruin the reputation. I guess I'm just being paranoid, but I feel if the ban the pitts from dog parks then they will say "oh gee, the dog fights have gone down since we kicked those monsters out, maybe we should just kick them out and the world would be a better place, kill em all". But what the gov't fails to realize is that pitts are great with people but natural agressive towards dogs.

Ok, I think that we've come to an agreement that pitts should not go to dog parks because their reputation is on the line and they are not typically human agressive.

I'm tired so I'm going to bed. I'll look forward to future debates.

Oh yes, I love a good debate, lol. You were very mature at debating :) . More mature than some 30+ year olds.
