Our cat is basically the family cat. Abby belongs to me and Bo is my dad's pup. The next pup coming home hopefully next year will also be mine, but with this one I will be taking over everything. Right now my parents pay vet bills, but with the Aussie pup I will do vet bills, food and everything else I will also hopefully be taking over Abby's vet care as well, but then again this is all granted I have a job

Chewy and Lola are completely my dogs. I'm responsible for everything about them. Even hauling bags of dog food from the truck. :lol-sign: Lola was originally meant to be my mom's, but she floated around as the family dog for a while before latching on to me.

Delgado belongs to nobody and everybody. He's such a drifter. He'll take love from anyone, but no attachments.

My dad's chihuahua is Zita. Also meant to be my mom's dog. My moms chihuahua is Zoya. And she was VERY territorial about her when she first got her because she was tired of us stealing her dogs.

Bosco the horse and Demo the hamster are completely mine. Our parrot is sort of nobody's and everybody's.

My siggy pretty much divides them all up, but I'll write it all out here.

Chloe is mine. Dameon and Rinnie (the ferrets) are mine, and Cid (the dwarf hamster) is mine. Apollo is "mine", but it is up in the air whether or not he will be coming with me when I move out. In all honesty, in recent months he is more of my mom's cat than he is of mine. She feeds him, cleans his box, buys him food, and cuddles with him. I just do his vet care and am the one that raised him. lol

Pheobe is my mom's cat, and Rose is the family dog (ie., my mom takes care of her and I advise my mom of how to take care of her/train her/bathe her). Joey (the bird) belongs to the family - really no one. He started off as mine, but he hates me and I've come to realize I don't want a bird, so everybody just sort of takes care of him.

The outdoor cats are basically family cats, but they "belong" to certain people. JJ and Lilly are my sister's. Mitzi is my dad's. Mikey is the family's (kind of mine as I do his vet care, kind of my youngest sister's as she "picked him out" as a kitten) and Penelope is "mine" in the sense that no one wants her so I've taken responsibility for her care.

I lied. Bailey technicially still has a co-owner, on paper. She used to be a junior showmanship dog for a great little kiddo I know.We never got around to taking her name off... at least my address is on there!

Taz is the only one that is officially mine. He's registered under my name.

Fudge was got for my sister but bonded to me and after a few weeks she basically ignored him and I took over all training, feeding and exercise.

Scamp was the same story.

Tika was my dads dog but since she's inside she became a family dog who quickly became my dog.

Ozzy is my mums dog. I still do all the care for him but I don't like him.

Oliver and Twist are family cats and the other cats don't really belong to anyone. We just feed them.

My mum and dad pay for all food and vet bills with the exception of Tika because I changed her food to a much higher quality food and my dad refuses to pay the higher price.

Originally when we got Cinnamon 11 years ago she was intended to be mine and my sister's but over the years she's become a family dog, she belongs to all of us: my dad, mom, sister and brother :). Although now that my sibs are at college I'm the one who takes the most care of her.

Maddie and Bailey are MINE. The ferrets are, of course, all mine. :D

Missy (GSD) is "mine" heart, and soul, and dog lisense. :p She's under my parents name at the vet, and when I moved out a couple years ago I was not allowed to taker her... hmph :(

Miya (GSD) is my Dad's, but they also say she's my brothers. She's in their name, though. Dad also has a big tank of big gouramis and stuff

and Phoebe (Shih Tzu) is solely Mom's ;) as well as the birds

Quinn, though super bonded to everyone in the family and truly believes everyone should be together at all times, is for sure my dog. I do all the work with her and make all the decisions regarding her. She will come with me when I move out. I buy any equipment, accessories, classes etc that she needs. My mom and I kind of alternate buying food (depends on who has the money LOL) as both dogs eat the same kibble and Dally is for sure her dog.

Legally, Firdaus (cat), Sarama and Docket all belong to me. I think Shadow may be legally mine too . . . or Mike and I may have co-signed his papers. I don't remember and I have no idea where the papers are.

Firdaus is without any question my cat in her mind. But then I've had her for 15 years (she'll be 17ish in November). Docket has decided that I'm his human, but he gets worried if Mike isn't around, especially if things are unsettled (I think he thinks its Mike's job to protect all of us . . .which, I guess it kinda is). Sarama is bonded to Mike and I both, and she looks to us for different things. But she's both of our dog . . . or we are both our humans. Shadow . . . well, he's probably more Mike's cat than mine. But honestly, he's the cat of whomever will pay attention to him. For example, he LOVES our handyman and would probably be delighted to go home with him.

If something were to happen between Mike and I, I guess the animals would probably stay with me but that's more a resources/homeowner thing rather than a so-and-so belongs to you thing.

ME!

Although my cat has been adopted by my parents... I still see her as MY cat... I'd have her in a heartbeat, but it wouldn't be fair to her now as she's blind and settled with them, and just as happy as larry.

When I left home, the cat stayed with my mom, so really she's her cat now... she buys everything for her, and takes care of her, plus she's like 13 years old now & very set in her daily patterns.

The dogs are complicated. My ex-type-guy and I are both on the papers... but Eerie & Autumn live with him, while Liz, Daisy and Rage live with me.

Belle *technically* belongs to Beagle911, but I sent the shelter a personal check for her adoption fee, so according to the ACC down there, she's mine.

Swagger is co-owned by me & Andy, and he tells me Bear is as good as mine... so I guess we technically co-own him as well, but only Andy is on his papers.

In all of my relationships, we have had "his and her" dogs. The Collies were always mine and when the relationship was over, they ALWAYS came with me, no matter what. (I have a strict "NO COLLIE LEFT BEHIND" policy!)
