I have 3 dogs: Abby-7 month old mutt, Lucy - 1 yr old Saluki Mix?, Rudy-8 yr old GSD. Lucy is skinny and I would like her to gain a few pounds. Abby and Rudy both are good weights but will pig out and get fat if allowed to. Right now they're all on Nutro Ultra but I'm gonna swich them. I'm leaning towards Canidae but Wellness and Eagle Pack are also available to me. What do you think?

I feed Eagle Pack and my dog likes it, we are trying to switch our new puppy to Eagle Pack but right now she is still on the food that we got from the breeder. The other two are good too though but I reccomend (sp?) Eagle Pack.

canidae and eagle pack (the "holistic select" line, the rest isn't so great) are superior to wellness in my personal opinion. they contain more meat than wellness, and i have had bad experiences with what the wellness does to teeth, which quite a number of other dog owners have also reported.

if you need some other brands to consider, innova and solid gold are also great.

I have tried Canidea, Wellness, Natural Balance, Solid Gold and Merrick.. I would say Wellness was Cocoa's least favorite, then Natural Blance.. She loves Solid Gold, Canidea and Merrick.. Currently we are feeding all 4 of our Merrick...

Thanks to everyone for your advice. I haven't been able to find any stores around here who sell innova. The one their web site listed doesn't sell it anymore :( . My vet sells solid gold so that might be an option. I'm gonna try canidae first though cause I'm poor and the price is very reasonable. I also really like the owner of the store who sells it here. He is extremely helpful and seems to know his stuff.

I feed mine Canidae dry and Eagle Pak wet. I have to say that my 12 years old since switching to Canidae has a nicer/shiner coat and seems healthier. One of my dogs likes the Canidae wet but the other don't so I'm sticking with the Eagle Pak wet.
